      ***************************** of Holms Plumbing did work for me a few years ago, but is now someone I would NEVER recommend to anyone. If I could give him 0 stars, I would.They have a ***** address, yet charged me for 1 hr drive there & 1 hr back, plus 1/2 hr to clean tools back at their shop, plus time for the plumber, & also an apprentice or other guy who came with him who observed, at the rate of $175/hour. So, for a 2-hour job, I was billed $700! They told me that their rates were comparable to other plumbers in the area, yet I called 4 other plumbers & the most expensive one charges $125/hour & said there is no charge for travel in ***** or cleaning their tools. Two of the other plumbers I talked to said that this would have cost me less than $300 ******************** & that it looked like a pretty simple job (I sent them pictures). When I asked *** about the charge, he came to my house to go over it & tracked ********** on my carpets & flooring. When I told him about it, he said that they didn't do it - even though it was everywhere he had stood & walked while there. He finally begrudgingly took $200 off of the bill (which was still about $200 more than it should have been), & then commented that "some people want to pay little or nothing once a service is done".There was already a faucet on the wall for the tub, so they just had to do a couple of things to install the new faucet that came with a handheld shower, which I had already purchased. They told me the price they charged would not cover the cost of them coming back to install the finish pieces.When I used him a few years ago, he installed a shower handle on a tub for me that required a LOT more work & took him a day to do for about $300 (that was parts & labor). I made the mistake of thinking he was going to be fair this time, but he was far from fair! Had I known what he was going to charge, I would have NEVER used him.
