My experience with Lumio has been stressful and I regret hiring them as my solar installers.Installation of the panels themselves went relatively smooth. The work was done efficiently so I'm not complaining.Next came the replacement of our electric panel. A three person crew came but it seemed they left one guy to do most of the work and he didn't know what he was doing. They literally cut a whole in my wall that was bigger than the new front panel and I have a 1/2 inch jagged gap above my new panel. I complained and they sent someone to do drywall repair. The drywall repair specialist comes, does about 2 hours of work, and the wall still looks damaged. He says it's the best he can do.The drywall repair specialist's boss comes. He tells me he will reimburse me to get a nice wood panel cover installed but I'll have to contract the work myself and send him a bill. I appreciate the gesture even though it's more work for me.Next comes the utility inspection. Lumio fails inspection three times in a row. Each time a corrections crew is sent to my house and they ask me what they are supposed to do because no one sent them work orders. On his last visit, the inspector tells me if they come again ask them to show their electrical license because he's so shocked by what they didn't do / got wrong.The Lumio sales rep stated in the beginning that if I have panels installed but not turned on, they will cover my premiums. After passing inspection I get no updates from Lumio for weeks. I finally contact them and they are going to send someone to look at my system and if something is wrong they'll cover last month's premium. I explain that no matter what they should reimburse me because the panels are installed and it's not my job to turn the system on.If you have the option to work with anyone else, please do so. I regret ever signing up with Lumio and I have considered breaking my contract multiple times.Lumio

Yes, since nothing was in fact wrong with my system and it literally just had to be turned on I was reimbursed on my monthly premium. I can also confirm that my system is on and functioning. I should mention it took 3 weeks before I was given access to the solar monitoring service because my account manager couldn't take the time to email me back and I had to go around her and call a different manager after getting their contact info from my sales rep. So even though my system is on and working, that does not change my opinion of Lumio as they did the bare minimum to make up for my bad experience working with them. The cost is not in dollars, it's in piece of mind and all the wasted time I spent project managing my own solar installation. This is not how you maintain loyal customers and I stand behind my statement that I will not be recommending Lumio to anyone.Review fromKay K

This company has been horrible since after signing the paperwork. We decided to go with them, because their contact was local, and that mistake is on us. The not showing up for any appointments, never being on time, not having the system GROUNDED, and leaving our solar electric box not waterproofed is on them. We signed up in March of 2022 to get the system, our system was installed November of 2022 and end of January 2023, we are still not turned on.Lumio

Honestly I just wanted to hop on here and say this because no one leaves a good review when they have a good experience and its misleading. Ive loved every bit of this process. I wanted to go solar for the environmental effects and the savings are a plus, and have been amazing. I went with them because I had a friend who recommend them and when I saw some of the reviews I was skeptical, but so happy I chose lumio. After reading these reviews they are just ****** who are upset that the utility company didnt turn on their system immediately after install. Which is not their fault its the utilities fault, but I didnt have that problem nor did my friend.Lumio

The crew arrived right on time. They worked quickly, efficiently, and seemed to enjoy the project. (I overheard their conversation at times as they worked.) They were all pleasant and professional with me, and thoroughly cleaned up when they were done. I'm looking forward to enjoying my solar panels.Lumio

I found the Lumio Team to be very good. First, I engaged with the top 5-6 solar providers who sold into my geography. I wanted a company with 5+ years in the business, badged service and implementation teams and a working history with my community and HOA as well as the power companies involved. They met all of my initial requirements. Second, I needed commitments to meet my price points that I felt fair having done a great deal of legwork on pricing and payment options. The improved on my price pricing target.Third, I needed commitment to meet my year end implementation. They completed all phases from my signed contract to panel "turn-on" in 3 weeks. Which is what they suggested they could do.Lumio

I was lied to and misled by sales representative. He explained to me that I would get cash back on taxes and I could apply that to overall cost of the solar system which would lock me into the same rate for 20 years. Sounded amazing! But if I failed to apply the cash back that I would receive toward solar loan my monthly payment would increase by 2.5x the cost. Unfortunately, that's not how the tax credit works. Basically, my electric bill just tripled, lol. Now, let me explain the tax credit.Example:Solar System Cost - $20,000 Energy Tax Credit (ETC) - 30%Energy Tax Credit = $20,000 x **** = $6,000 If you owe the *** $2,000 for the 2022 tax year you can apply $2,000 of the energy tax credit toward debt. After applying the $2,000 you will be left with $4,000 in energy tax credit. You can use the remaining energy tax credit toward taxes owed to *** for up to 20 years. If you do not owe taxes the tax credit is useless.Lumio's contract relinquishes them from taking responsibility for what their sales representatives say. It's unfortunate that these types of sales tactics are taught and used. Not sure if the sales representatives are aware of what they are saying, but if they truly do understand the tax credit and how it works, I feel for their soul.I'm a very unhappy customer.Lumio

The experience from the day after signing with **************** through today was far from professional. You are never able to reach anyone who can assist with questions/issues. The company and sales reps seem more focused on signing deals rather than complete customer satisfaction. I asked my sales rep about cancelling and he informed me that it would cost me about 5k to get out of contract due to engineering and the such already being done. ******* home insurance went up $600 annually and my sales rep said it was a one year cost that Lumio would absorb..not true! All communication is done via email/texts from various domains so you never really know who is contacting you. There is no single point of contact. When I finally reached someone via email on December 22, 2022 she forwarded my "complaint" to ***************************....I am still waiting to hear from her! I also have to pay a month of FPL and first payment on panels because the system has taken so long to get up and running. This is something I was told would not happen. Its amazing to see how many negative reviews have zero reply from Lumio on here yet virtually none of the negative comments have a reply. I guess the truth hurts! Going with Lumio was my biggest mistake! Solar may be the way to go.....just don't do it through Lumio!Lumio

Lumio is the worse. I knew I should have never done this. We are going on a couple months and yet to be connected. We were installed back in November and still hasn't been working. Called the sales rep and he keeps giving me the run around when hw answers his phone. If you are thinking about doing it don't do it. You will definitely save yourself from a Major headache. Then they promise you oh we will cover the first three months and there is no record of it. And they won't call or answer you when you try to call. absolutely horrible customer service.Lumio
