      I placed an order for 3 closet systems. All 3 systems came with the boxes broken in half (which obviously meant the closets were broken in half). I called overstock, requested they pick up the damaged boxes, requested a refund, and oh my goodness, the chaos began. You would think I requested they put a man on the moon. The boxes were never picked up. I had to pay out of pocket to have them hauled away. I made at least a dozen calls for my refund and have only been refunded for 2 systems. Every time I call to ask where they refund is for the last system, they act surprised and ask me why I want to return it. Absolutely unbelievable. Either their staff is too lazy to look at the emails and pictures and note the calls, or their system is just broken. Either way, I have been waiting 3 months for more than 1200$ and its still not resolved. I'm betting another man will be put on the moon before overstock takes responsibility and refunds me.

      Be careful when ordering from Overstock.com. I placed an order on an item that was backordered. After a couple of days, I realized I really didn't have the money to spend and contacted them to cancel the order. Since the item was on backorder, I figured this wouldn't be a problem. They proceeded to tell me they couldn't cancel the order because it had already been sent to their warehouse. I informed them the item was on backorder so they can just contact their warehouse. It should be that easy right? After a few times back and forth they told me once again that they couldn't cancel the order because now all of the sudden the item has been shipped. Funny thing is the expected delivery date is still the same. I truly believe they removed the "backorder" from the item and just told me it was shipped so that they could say they couldn't cancel. They had more than enough time to cancel this order but chose to treat their ***************************** like this. VERY BAD BUSINESS!!

      I would have given lower that 1 but 1 is the lowest score. I ordered a set of patio chairs comprising a 3 seater, 2 Seater and 2 side pieces. They finally delivered a very heavy box and I quickly installed it. After i installed it i saw it was missing a second box for the second 2 seater. I called and was told the product was on the way. After 2 weeks i called again and was told it was lost and the product was out of stock. So i could return the first product for a refund. A very uncaring response. They sent an email for me to return the pack. This was not possible since i had already set up the 3 seater and the package had been thrown away after waiting for 3 weeks. so I ended up paying $1200 for a 3 seater :-) and feeling deceived and cheated. I write not because i am pained to to warn others of this company.

      I have been trying to get an item damaged in shipping back to them- and they refuse to refund my money until it is returned; however they promised a refund within five days. They also will not give me a time window to anticipate shippers and the only notice they give is less than 24 hours that they will be there to pick it up. It is taking up a large amount of floor space in my living room and I want ot gone but cannot give them a day of my time and not work! They passed it off as **** however *** has said they can with special instructions. Time to go to my AG.

      I have never heard of a company taking away adding a sale price difference to your refund for a return. Out of a $47 item return I am getting $16 back. They charged me $15 for the sale price difference and $18 for the return. So out of two lamps shades I bought and returned I will only get back $32 from $94, its crazy.

      I have not purchased anything from them since Nov. 2021. They used that charge card information to "automatically" sign me up for and charge for a ClubO membership. NO email notification, text message, or ANYTHING--just a charge on my credit card. I am FURIOUS. They are going to reverse the charge, but what if I had not been paying attention to my statement? Then I tried to close my account, and I CAN'T. Stay away from this business.

      I ordered a set of chairs through this company and received the chairs but it was missing a set of legs for the other chair. I called and let them know that the legs were missing. The reps at the call center do not speak or understand English at all. I asked to have the legs sent to me, they said someone would get back to me in ***** hours later. 72 hours later no phone call. I call them back and ask to speak to a supervisor, they put me on hold and never get back on the line. I call back again. I ask to speak to a supervisor, the rep **** the they want to try to resolve it. They reach out to the manufacturer and they dont answer. They tell me they will have a supv call me back. Here I am 24 hours later with no phone call back and with a chair that still doesnt have any legs.

      Cancelled online order within 48 minutes, placed through ******* once I realized item (area rug) was actually sold through Overstock.com. Rug shipped anyway and now I will have to pay over $60 to return, for a rug I cancelled.

      This company will charge you an arm and a leg to return an item. Upon inspecting their return policy on their site I see "We reserve the right to deduct the return shipping fee, which generally ranges from $100 to $695 or more (depending on size and weight), if the item is not in its original condition upon arrival back at our warehouse."Well my item is in the original condition and in the box. I accidentally ordered the incorrect shape. They do not care about their ****************************************************** making it right. They still want to charge me $100+ for a $500 item that I cannot use. I have learned my lesson and I wish to spread the news so no-one else will make the same mistake I did of shopping at this horrible e-retailer. PASS ON OVERSTOCK.COM PEOPLE! SCAM!

      Their ***************************** service is horrendous. Will not honor price adjustments in any form. I ordered a rug from them and before it even arrived at my house, the online price was nearly $100 lower than what I paid for it. I asked for an adjustment and they refused. My only option was to return the rug (at MY expense of $53, because they also don't pay for return shipping). The ridiculous part is it would honestly be cheaper to pay the $53 to return the rug and reorder it at the new price!! That's how big of a price difference it was. I called and chatted ***************************** service and they absolutely would not budge. It's really something to have these kind of policies when your competitors like Amazon offer free return shipping no questions asked, and most companies offer price adjustments. Will never shop with Overstock again.
