The only time we receive a call back for service is when we file a BBB complaint.Sent 4/8/24 Good Morning,I have received a text from AnnElai from the customer service team. She stated she could not find our account. Here is the address and the problems we are still having.**************************************** We have only gotten a response in the past after a complaint was filed with the Better Business Bureau, I am giving you the chance to respond before I file another complaint. I wanted someone to look into the history of problems before telling another person what we are dealing with. Please have someone review the issues and then give me a call back. Here is some of the history of issues. ION SOLAR COMPLAINTS ***** and ***************************** 7 Ph# ************ *************************************** Date of completion: 09/03/2019 Cost: ********* We had Ion Solar install 29 panels in September 2019. The sales were great and installation was good. That is the end of the customer service. They are slow to respond to problems and even slower to send someone out to fix them. They say they are coming and dont show up on the date they give. In 2023 we had to file two separate complaints with the Better Business Bureau in order to get returned phone calls. We have an electrical problem that still has not been resolved since April of 2023. They get us up and running to clear up complaints and it just comes back.We have problems with microinverters not reporting. We were told by their electrician that the wiring needed to be replaced, because of a short somewhere that is causing blown fuses 3 times. This results in it not reporting to the enphase unit. We were told they replaced all wiring, they did not have inverters in stock to replace them also, 1 month later had inverters but did not have enough to do the whole system (complete job). We went without solar all summer in 2023, causing us to pay electric bills we normally should not have had and also unable to sell SREC.So many times we were told people would be coming out and we would wait all day and no one came or even bothered to call.Once wires and inverters were replaced we still were and are still having problems with blown fuses, which seems to be an electrical short, as their company stated in the beginning. Electrician came out to find why fuses were blowing and we explained how we have been having trouble all summer, how micro inverters were not reporting in peak reporting times and it would come up at the end of day with all production reporting. He said it sounded like the motherboard in the envoy was going bad and he replaced 30 amp fuses with 60 amp fuses. This was the fall and by then the production hours had decreased and not further problems for the winter months. Then in Spring 2024 when longer days began, the same thing is happening: micro inverters not reporting and 60 amp fuses are blowing. There is a serious electrical problem that needs to be fixed once and for all along with a new motherboard. We would like them to find the source of the short, inspect all wiring on roof, attic, in conduits, disconnects and envoy. Replace combiner to eliminate motherboard shorting. We want them to send out a certified solar electrician. The last electrician gave us his number if we had any further problems and he would replace the envoy and when we called he did not answer nor return our calls. According to our paperwork from the sale, there is a 10 year contractor warranty and panels and inverters have a 25 year warranty. We do not think we should have to continue to pay service call fees for equipment that is not working and under warranty.

This complaint is for ION Solar. Im extremely frustrated with the amount of sales people that come on to my property and try and solicit there product. I bought 3 different no soliciting signs just because of them. The most recent occasion the sales person rang my doorbell 5 times in the span of 5 minutes. When I had enough I came out and said Im not interested and there is clearly a no soliciting sign right by my doorbell. The sales person laughed and asked for my electric bill information. I asked them to leave my property. 2 days later another sells rep showed up for our appointment I asked them to leave again, or they would be trespassed from my property. This was about 2 weeks ago. Today I received 4 phone calls all before 8 am soliciting their product. I tried to block there number and a new number calls 30 minutes later. At this point its harassment, and so frustrating. There sales people are extremely rude and laugh and argue with you when you ask them to leave.I have asked to be on there no knock/ no call list and they still show up! I will be calling the police the next time they step foot on my property.

October or November 2023 my husband (*****************) and I began working with ION Solar to have solar panels installed. We gave them all the information that was needed on our end and they were supposed to reach out to our *** to seek approval. In addition to the *** they asked us to try and get signatures from our immediate neighbors if possible, but none of our neighbors were homeowners (renters). The reps of *** said they were still trying to get signatures. Then we had zero progress from that point till February 2024 when we received an email about us being in violation of our contract for being "unreachable" and we now owed $3500. That came as a shock to us because the last we heard was they (ION) were working to get the *** approval and signatures. When I reached out to a representative (*****) he looked into their records and the "unreachable" comment was due to them and their reps not being able to reach the neighbors. So we were being threatened to pay money for something that wasn't our fault. ***** spoke to us over the phone and said it was an error in the system, and then said he had spoke with the team and got everyone on the same page regarding our project. Yet the next day we received multiple texts from different people asking again for signatures and things that ***** assured us we didn't need anymore. And when trying to reach the overall project manager to discuss all that's going on we received nothing. ***** tried to make a deal with us saying the company would pay for an entire year of our bill ONLY if we rushed to have the panels installed. I asked for 24 hours to consider it and give a response later. Before we even responded my husband was given another invoice and notice to pay $3500 for contract cancellation. Due to the unprofessionalism and the inconsistencies with the texts we decided to not move forward because we did not feel safe with their company. Especially since we were invoiced before a decision was even made.

I am writing to seek your assistance regarding a matter involving ION Solar. On December 17, 2023, despite my limited English proficiency, I was coerced into signing a contract by an ION Solar representative who refused to allow me time to seek translation assistance. The promises made during the presentation, including significant savings, waived charges, and zero maintenance costs, have proven to be false.

Upon discovering the falsehoods presented by ION Solar, I promptly sought arbitration as per the terms outlined in the contract. However, instead of honoring their own agreement, ION Solar issued threats and demands for immediate installation, disregarding my right to arbitration. They have further attempted to extort $3,500 from me as a cancellation penalty.

I respectfully request the following actions from the BBB:

      a. Cease all communication from ION Solar and its representatives. b. Declare the contract with ION Solar void due to fraudulent inducement. c. Confirm that I owe no cancellation fees. d. Issue a warning on your website regarding ION Solar's deceptive practices.

Your prompt attention to this matter is appreciated.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

      No response was given!
ION Solar so called “response” did not address any of the claims I presented in my
      complaint!

      First Claim: Fraudulent Inducement:
      In this claim, I asserted
that the “Installation Agreement” I signed with ION Solar was the product of multiple
misrepresentation during the sales process which voided the ION contract,
meaning that no terms in the contract would be enforceable, including the
      cancellation penalty.    ION Solar so
called “response” did not address this claim! (See the Exhibits I attached
      to my complaint).

      Second Claim: Breach of Contract:
In this claim, I asserted that ION Solar has violated their own “Installation Agreement” by simply failing to honor my request/right to arbitration to review their fraudulent sales practices.   Arbitration right is clearly stated in ION
Solar own contract.    ION Solar so called “response” did not
address this claim! (See the Exhibits I attached to my complaint).

ION Solar failure to address these serious violations is
      telling.

Just for clarification, ION statement keeps referring to me
      as “its customer”!
I was never a customer of this shady business, they were only
able to obtain my signature only through fraud and misrepresentation, I was
never a customer of ION Solar.

      Relief Requested:
I respectfully request that the Better Business Bureau protect
me and others from such shady company.

      1. Absolutely zero contacts from ION Solar.  These people attempt to defraud me and there is nothing to discuss with them. Zero contacts please.

      2. Declare that the contract I signed with ION Solar is voided based on Fraudulent Inducement.

      3. If needed, that the Better Business Bureau Arbitration system further investigate my claims.

      Very respectfully,
      ***** ***

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

      Once
again, ION Solar failure to answer is telling.

      I will
accept ION Solar’s failure to answer as an admission that I owed them nothing
and that they will cease all their attempts to extort money from me.
      To that
end, I will accept to close this complaint under this assumption.

      However,
in the future, if ION Solar renewed their attempt to extort money from me under
the pretext of what they allege to be “cancellation fees”, if they do
that once again in the future, I will refile this complaint again with the
      Better Business Bureau.

      Final
      resolution: “General understanding”
          1.   Absolutely no contact by any of ION Solar employees or agents.
          2.   ION Solar will cease all attempts to extort money from me under the pretext of what they alleged to be “cancellation fees”.

I Accept and agree to close this complaint
      based on the above assumptions.
      Very
      respectfully,

      ***** ***

I am writing to formally request removal from ***'s sales database. On two separate occasions, a sales representative from the company arrived unannounced at my residence without any prior indication or request for service. After the initial experience, I submitted a written request via text to be removed from your database. It did not occur. I made the same request last evening verbally and via email. Unfortunately, I received a condescending email in response, ridiculing my concern about unannounced visits. As a potential customer, I expect respectful communication and adherence to my preferences. Kindly have them remove my information from their sales database immediately and refrain from any further unannounced visits or any electronic communication. Hello,My name is ***********************, and Im coming here to file a complaint with the company Ion Solar. As far as Im aware, they are a relatively new company to this state. We created a contract with the company around May or June of 2023. It took a few months for us to appear on their schedule for solar panel installation. Fast forward, to October and after a few assurances and promises, it was completed October 10, 2023. After that, it failed inspection numerous times and the company was unable to figure out the problem. A tech came out three times or so from October to December. I reached out with more force in January 2024 to speak to someone about what is going on (I spoke to the manager of the permitting department, ***********************, who can't figure anything out), and there is still no resolution. We were promised a check of $2,172 to pay for the first years payments if they let us install the panels while we're out of town. I have only received a check for $1,080.00, which I have not cashed. The *************** has approved the new application that was sent in February 15th and approved on February 22. Ion Solar has not yet scheduled someone to come out and fix our system, despite blaming the city for not approving. I am at my **** end with this company. It has felt like a scam since November 2023, and it just continually gets worse.I have made payments on our solar system, totaling about $1,807. I need assistance with this, so if you have any way to let me know further action or what I should do, Id appreciate it.I'm seeking compensation for what I've paid, at least, but also potentially for damages as I have texts from the technician acknowledging negligence. The warranty of our panels is also a concern.

Ion Solar has been a great company to work with for my solar installation. From their Sales rep to planning team has been phenomenal in maintaining the communication. The reason for this complaint is at the end of the installation I was not fairly assessed and the area manager mentioned I was denied a 3rd month of payment due to delays in installation. The installation was delayed by 6 months but not all 6 months are from Ionsolar. Although there was an opportunity from Ion solar to avoid majority of this delay which can be seen in my follow up emails. At the end of our installation which was in Feb 2024 , Ion solar compensated us for only two months of payments to the finance company. Starting Aug 2023 through Feb 2024 I had to pay to the utility company bill along with payment to the solar finance company. I understand there can be delays and I was okay to double pay but if the delay was solely from utility approvals I would be okay. Ion solar compensated me for just 2 months of my solar payments but I have to pay for additional 4 months along with my utilities. I wish ion solar can assess fairly and compensate for delays that would have been in their control. The Area manager *********************** was helpful to a certain extent but communicated nothing can be done beyond the 2 months compensation. I hope this complaint future clients useful and they can baseline their expectation from Insolar.

I have 3 prominently displayed "NO SOLICITING, NO TRESPASSING" signs posted on my property, all of which are visible from the street. Yet today, two of your representatives still rang my door bell and knocked several times while I was working from home. When I asked if they were selling something, they lied and said they were not. I have video footage of this entire encounter. If your solicitors trespass on my property again, in defiance of posted signs, I will file charges and seek monetary damages.
