    I took a Phlebotomy Training course through Phlebotomy Training Specialists starting 4/29 - 5/16. 6 to 10pm. They promised 48 hours of instruction, use of a Veinviewer machine, and everything I needed to be sit for the national certification exam.
    The actual instruction amounted to about 24 hours. There was no VeinViewer machine. Upon further research I realized to be Nationally certified one needs to do capillary sticking (not just veins) and they provided no training for that. Also most worrisome - the class was sloppily run with newbies to Phlebotomy drawing blood on each other in a haphazard way, sometimes on a whim and with no trained observer making sure dirty equipment was disposed of properly. I'm concerned about the health risks of this. The instructor also planned to have us cheat on the national exam by taking it as a group instead of solo.
    In addition, the business never said that you need to find your own partner for the "practical exam'; they left that out to get you to sign up. Then if you can't find one, they blame you by saying you should've known beforehand.
    The instructor was biased and singled me out. He gave exceptions to some students, helped them pass the practical exam, let them skip class, but was extra hard on me for no good reason.
    I want my money back. They won't respond. I wrote a long letter to their Student Services department at their headquarters in Utah three weeks ago - still no response.
    I will upload toll booth receipts showing how little teaching was actually going on - my car coming home every night at what should have been 10:30 pm, instead much sooner than that.
