      I went to book a hotel, and this scam of a site pretended to be the hotel site. So I called the number, and they acted as if they were the hotel booking site. I wanted a hotel stay, and prepay for 7 days of parking, for a flight I was taking, so they tallied my bill, and I paid for it. I show up at the hotel, and they know nothing of my prepaid parking, so I call the reservation desk, and they said, "Just pay for it, and let us know the bill" so I did....then I was denied a refund, until I mentioned litigation. So they said they would refund me, but now they won't reply to messages, and it's been over a month, with no refund for the parking charges. I would give a 0 star rating, if that were possible.

      I went to book my hotel for a birthday trip for the end of next month - I went in and booked as I normally would - typed in the hotel and followed the prompts - did not realize that it was through reservation counter. AS SOON as I realized this I called to cancel as I had put in the wrong city I called and was told by a representative that I could cancel my reservation but would not receive a refund. And to see if she could provide a not guaranteed refund that I would have to process the cancellation with no guarantee - so being out of the money and room. When I informed her that my reservation was made within ******************************************************************************************************************************** that it was out of her hands and to have a good day. So here I sit with a reservation in a town that I had not planned to be in, out a chunk of money and according to her the inability to speak to anyone who has authority to help come up with a fix. I will make it a point of letting any and everyone that I know that this is not a company that is worthy of working with unfortunately as I typically love to praise good companies. Stay away folks - this may not be a scam but it's pretty darn close.

      What a disappointment and a terrible experience! Yesterday I was trying to book a hotel reservation for an upcoming trip. I searched for the hotel's reservation number and used the first link that appeared from searching. It looked legit with the hotel's logo and details. There was an agent who immediately picked up and I asked him for the hotel's availability. He said yes there were available rooms but gave me a higher rate. I asked him if I could use the promo code from the company sponsoring the event and gave him the rate. He said he could give me the rate I mentioned and then he started getting my details. I was surprised when he asked for my card details and asked him why he needed it. He mentioned it was only to secure the booking. We haven't even finished talking and I received the notification from my bank that charges were made.When I tried to ask him, he began talking fast and when I asked him to slow down, he just hung up!I tried to call the number but was not able to speak to any agent. The worst thing, when I checked the reservation, I was booked in a different hotel! What a total disappointment.

      Total scam and deceptive. Should be reported to appropriate agencies. Their MO is to pretend to be the real hotel website and then add a fee to book the reservation with no changes. Like others, I thought I was on the original hotel site until I got my credit card and realized I had booked through another company. No upfront notice of the costs. Read the fine print before you get caught in their trap. ****

      What a terrible experience! One call, two bookings. The agent on the phone confirmed a king size bed per room with pull out coach for the kids. All set! We called the ******************************* in *********** to ensure they have the reservations and the extra room for the kids and they dont even have room for coat or offer a sofa bed. We asked Reservation Counter to cancel the room based on false information and they did but we never got a refund so now no room and no money back either. What a scam!

      I made a mistake booking a stay today at the *************** *****************. I put in the wrong date by accidentally adding a day. I asked if I could manage my reservation by one day. The agent I talked to responded by saying no that isn't something we can do. You'll have to cancel the reservation and make a new one. I said no problem and went online to do that but received a message that the system was unable to process that request. So I called back and got another agent who said that the previous agent was trying to process that cancellation and I needed to wait 30 minutes for a call back to confirm it was cancelled. Over 6 hours later, I called again. This time I was told they would process the request but had to wait 4 to 48 hours for the manager of the hotel to confirm the reservation was cancelled. Then the agent said it would take 3 to 10 business days to process a refund. Then I called Hilton. That's when I found out I'd accidentally used this 3rd party "Reservation Counter" place. I stupidly clicked the first link on ****** for the hotel, and now it looks like I've been scammed. I'm working with my bank to dispute the change. I hate that scamming sites like this are allowed to exist.

      I've emailed again and received no responses. I just want to cancel my reservation. Any hotel can do that. This 3rd party booking sent an email saying that it isn't possible, so I'm out $650. DO NOT USE Reservation Counter. Be careful when **************** I feel so stupid.

      SCAM - I booked a reservation at what looked like the hotel site. When I did not get a confirmation email, I immediately got worried. I cancelled the reservation but was charged a fee. This business should be investigated for their misleading business practices.

      They charge "taxes and fees" but are unable to provide any kind of breakdown on what those taxes and fees actually are. I do not see how this is allowed.

      I unknowingly used Reservation Counter when I made a reservation at a ************ given upon searching the hotel I landed on a page that looked very much like it was the hotel's site and seeing the words reservation center did not make me think otherwise. I think it is a very purposeful tactic used by third party services. When I called to try and change dates for a stay due to inclement weather, I was told the hotel would not agree to cancel the reservation. When I called the hotel they told me the Reservation Center had to cancel not them. After four different phone calls with four different people there was no different answer and no resolution. As I see after reading the other reviews on this site, this is a common complaint. I will be SURE to never use the service purposely or mistakenigly again. I don't undertsand how businesses prefer to lose potentional business and good reviews to make a few dollars.
