I wish I could give this company 0 stars. They clearly have separate operations of the call center versus the actual 'locksmith technician'. I locked myself out of my house and called the same morning to ask to set up an appointment (as I have work and school and couldn't use the locksmith until later) for 6pm.
The call center told me that the technician would call me to set up the appointment. I get a call back from a fairly unprofessional sounding gentleman who says, "okay 6 o' clock. I'll give you a good deal.' I ask him to give me an estimate or at least within a range of what it would be and he says the service call is $29 and the actual service can cost between $30-$150. I think that the range is pretty ridiculous, if I am being honest, but I agree to it.
He is running a little late but it's not the end of the world. The call center representative verifies the appointment and then says she will reach out to the technician to find out where he is. He calls me and says in a brash voice, "Hello? What do you need?" -
I'm already stunned at the way he is talking to me, but I remind him that we I scheduled an appointment with him for 6:00pm. Mid-sentence, he cuts me off and goes, "WAIT- WAIT." - I wait. He continues, "Are you sure? I don't think so." - I say, "well I have confirmed it with your company and you did say 6:00pm". - He huffily says he will be on his way, and doesn't give me an ETA.
I waited another 20 minutes for him, and he looks like he just came by and is running an errand. I point him to the back door. He looks at the door handle. . It is a standard door handle. He says he needs to drill around the door handle and then quotes me at $220 with no explanation on pricing. This price was absolutely ridiculous and He dropped down to $200 and I begrudgingly agreed.
He worked on getting the door handle off, but I had to help him do it. He requested cash only. He did not give an invoice upon request. I will never use this service, because it is a scam.
