After over 18 emails spanning a two and a half month. The California Sidecar company continually ignored my concerns about their inability to match my Indian Dark Horse Model motorcycle when they constructed the trike kit.I was told by the general manager of California Sidecar company (******) that the black molding chrome would not be a problem ( I have the entire email chain) but when the trike arrived in ********** it still had all the Chrome molding which does not match the "Dark Horse" Model.... After many many attempts at communicating with this company and the ***************************** dealership I was continuously ignored and the project was done un satisfactory anyway... what I got was repeatedly ignored and provided fast food assembly line service and they didn't even get the order right.I'm a disabled combat veteran on a fixed income and have saved all my life to afford this project.... you would think spending over $50,000 plus financing that there would be a certain amount of craftsmanship and attention to detail paid to this project... rather the opposite had occurred.

    Hello ***********

When the Dark Horse Trike is completed, please take several pictures from different angles and send them to me.

I want to take a look at the Dark Horse Trike project prior to me driving to *********** to pick up the Trike.  I sent several emails to ****** trying to explain to him what the "Dark Horse" Model concept is and that the Trike kit needs to match this Dark Horse model.

I sent ****** pictures of my motorcycle explaining how all the Chrome is blacked out and subdued hence the name for the "Dark Horse Model".  I used the example from the pictures I was able to obtain from the damage trike.  As an example,  explained to ****** that on the fender there appear to be some blue tape that was scraped away revealing shinny chrome.

****** said he had to get approval for that and that he did.  What I am hoping is that ****** was able to use that example and apply it to other areas of the  trike and not be linear and literal about fixing the one item I use as an example and not being able to extrapolate that to the rest of the trike project.

I used the analogy about paying somebody to make me a nice fine black tuxedo and when I come to pick it up instead of black patent leather dress shoes they provided me a pair of silver sneakers to wear.  And when you've agreed to pay $780 a month for 7 years ( for a "Dark Horse" trike) that you would expect the fine details and the little things to matter.

Thank you in advance for sending me pictures of the project before I come pick it up.

    ******.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.

    -__________________________

There are two issues here that serve as the basis for my complaint.  However before address those let me state that *********** ************************* did agree to correct the problem that California Sidecar Company Created.  They're willingness to do so does not absolve the California Sidecar company of their responsibility in this debacle.

First, is the issue of the poor execution of the project and not being able to match the motorcycle Dark Horse Model even after repeated attempts at engaging these companies in communication.

The second is that I was ignored, ****** along and misled or lied too (intent may or may not have been there but the effect was the same).  All this is documented in the communication chain with the California Sidecar company and they misleading me into believing this issue had been taken care of.

bottom line you don't get to ignore and mislead or lie to a combat veteran and expect nothing to be said.  Especially after going way above and beyond the Call of Duty and trying to engage this company in conversation about what was going wrong with the project.  The simple fact that the *********** ****************** is picking up the slack for these folks does not absolve them (CSC) of their abhorrent customer service.  People need to know you cannot depend on this company to tell you the truth and that's the bottom line. There needs to be a record of what happened here and my complaint stands other people need to know.

    Regards,

    *************************** ********

CSC manufactures trike kits that fit a multitude of Motorcycles.  Each kit fits of motorcycle.  Each motorcycle is changed, upgraded or customized by the owner.  CSC can not and never has customized the kits to a personalized motorcycle, or each different motorcycle model.  CSC trike kits fit, bolt on and assemble to all motorcycles that we have on our price list. It has always been up to the dealer or customer to make it their own.  When corresponding with CSC, this was the response.  Yes our trike kit WILL fit the Dark Horse Model motorcycle.  CSC only has Chrome finished accent parts.

both the California Sidecar company and the ************************* had three months to tell me about them not being able to build customizable kits or that the Dark Horse Model was not covered instead they ignored me and outright misled or lied to me either intentionally or unintentionally but it was the same effect.... again if I would have known this information I would not have chosen the model I did chose and it was chosen something with more Chrome likewise why would I asked to make sure that the rims I was choosing match the Dark Horse Model the operative word being matched...

Again the bottom line is you don't get to Simply ignore people for months on end and then mislead them afterwards and to thinking that the issues been resolved.
