This was a HORRIBLE experience! They charged the wrong card, of $900, and they knew it when I called. It was all documented on their end (mine too). Totally messed up my account to where I called them again, sitting in my personal banks office. They couldnt believe how this place was acting even on the phone! It took over a month to receive my refund. I asked to talk to someone in charge and they told me up to 15 days to receive a call back. I still not have received this call and this complaint was on June 3, 2025. I decide to still send my daughter after having to buy more things per their request. I end up picking up my daughter early, because her roommate threw my daughters toothbrush and toothpaste at her. She messaged me BEGGING to pick her up. When I got there, they downplayed my daughters feelings! Nope, feelings are valid, especially out of a 10 year old child. She was scared to say something, because this child threatened her!! As a mother, paying over $3,500 for four nights and five days, to send your child 2.5 hours away (one way), you hope and trust. Yeah, NO. Never again. I would leave 0/5 stars if I could. Please do NOT send your children here. It is not worth the lack of trust, the mental strain, nor any other issue(s)!WorldStrides

Our tour guide Jose made sure we were safe and comfortable. He shared his love for ***** and its culture. We travelled by plane , train, and boat. We were emerged in the culture n customs. When we got to *******, we fell in love with the culture n traditions. The food was delicious and our hotels were beautiful. I highly recommend using Explorica in future trips,WorldStrides

5 starsI just recently went on the trip to the parks. Our tour guide name was ****. Let me just say he was awesome. He made sure we all had fun while learning new things. Even when restaurants got our reservations times wrong **** handled it in a way that made everything ok. I just wanted to say thank you to **** for making it one of the best experiences even though the Dad jokes were bad every one had fun.Review fromHeather C

Terrible company! My adult daughter called me this evening in tears about being accepted late to an overseas program and then being forced to come up with $3,500 payment in one business day. A few weeks ago she was asked to fill out a form for housing that had to be turned in the next day. She has received no help with her visa and very little information about housing, whether the credits will transfer, how to get a visa, etc. Initially, the cost of the program was quoted as $12,000 and now it has risen to $20,000 overnight for no apparent reason. Shame on ******* ********** ********** ** *********** *********** for contracting with this awful company! I expect better from a public institution that tells students as high school seniors that study abroad is the same price as *** and many students do it. Parents watch out for *** fake promises and this company that feels like it's a scam.WorldStrides

Booked a trip with “Ultimate” cancellation insurance to get 75% back to cancel for “any reason.” My family got Covid a few weeks before the trip and while most of us recovered and went, my wife was still far too easily fatigued to handle the expected heavy walking by the cancellation deadline, so we cancelled her trip. Attempted a refund multiple times through both the insurer and Worldstrides. I was asked for medical documents even though it was a “for any reason” claim. Worldstrides completely unresponsive to the issue. Never got any money despite paying hundreds for the insurance.
Also terrible food options throughout this trip and another my kid did on their own. Had to spend a lot on outside food because tour-provided food ranged from unappetizing to inedible. Not just my opinion, but multiple others on the trips.WorldStrides

I signed my daughter up for the ***** trip with the understanding that : The total cost of the trip is $****. This price INCLUDES the Full Refund Program (trip insurance). If you have already registered your child and chose to opt-in to the refund program (trip insurance), you will be refunded that additional $***. My financial manager for the trip will need to go into each account separately and manually fix this, so please provide a ***** period to see that refund. my daughter did not make the list of students taken and we requested a refund. They kept the $*** and the deposit. I've called 3 times to get my refund with the response that they needed to find out what the total is that they need to refund me and then never respond. These scam artists should be prosecuted for fraud. If anyone is interested in a class action law suit reach out to me ************ at gmail dot com. These people are crooks!!!!!!!!!!!WorldStrides

I went to ********** with Explorica with my son, his teacher, and a few students. It was incredible!!! Our guide, Aura, was THE BEST! She was so knowledgeable about the country, answering all of our many questions! The activities were amazing! The perfect amount and once in a lifetime. I HIGHLY recommend traveling with Explorica!! PARENTS BEWARE! They allow grown adults not affiliated with the school or students go on these trips with MINORS!World strides does not care about the health and safety of the participants of their trips. My brother, the group leader, had to cancel last minute due to medical reasons. They are refusing to refund me the cost of the trip because of their standard cancellation policy or offer any type of exception. The only reason I was going on the trip was because I was the family member of the group leader. I am not affiliated with the ****************** in any way. I am not an educator. I do not have a child going on the trip. Now instead of taking care of my brother who is getting worked up for a heart condition. I am on the phone for hours dealing with this company and trying to get an exception for the money that I lost by not being able to go on the trip. I am also flabbergasted that this company would think its appropriate to send a grown adult on this trip with minor children when they have no affiliation to the school or the minor children going on the trip. The only affiliation I had was to the group leader who is no longer going on the trip. I think it is extremely inappropriate and disturbing that this company think its ok to send a grown adult on a trip with minors when they have no longer have any type of affiliation with the school or the students. This company does not care about the health or safety of the minor students or the group leaders of these trips. **** ***** ******* and everyone else affiliated with this company should be ashamed of themselves.WorldStrides
