A Better Business Bureau investigation revealed Mr. Richard Brassfield doing business as Waff Development does not have a current business license according to the Commissioner of Revenue for Jamesville, Northampton County, Virginia.  As of the date of this Business Profile, an Internet search of the company and principal revealed no adverse information and the address on file with BBB was revealed to be a private residence. According to the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Contractors (Board) website, Mr. Richard Brassfield doing business as Waff Development has a Consent Order on file that was entered on August 6, 2024, citing the following violations:

- Failure to satisfy any judgments,
- Assisting another to violate or combining or conspiring with or acting as a agent, partner, or associate for another, and 
- Allowing a firm’s license to be used by another.

BBB sent an investigation letter by email to the company on October 11, 2024, regarding their revoked contractor’s license.  As of the date of this Business Profile, the company has not responded to our investigation letter and the email has not bounced back as rejected or undeliverable.
