      Just ordered a custom ******** window from Pella. Fiberglass window...super strong and great looking. Looking forward to installing in my attic renovation.

      Pella Windows does not stand behind its product if a window doesn't work right. I tried 11 years ago after 2 new windows were installed but were extremely difficult to open to get them fixed. I was told they'd move up and down better over time, but they never got any easier to open. The serviceman who came this year couldn't do anything about getting them to open more easily either. I'm stuck with what are basically inoperable windows for me. There's obviously a problem with the 2 windows; they were probably not measured right (Pella makes windows to order) as windows should be easy to open!Additionally, the serviceman said windows with enclosed blinds are heavier due to extra glass, but the sales rep never mentioned this fact and he certainly should have. Pella advertises that "We pour ourselves into every window" that is "made specifically for your home" and they are "committed to doing everything right". Don't believe it!
