    I came from out of town and attended BluTattoo’s Pride flash event, hoping to support a community-focused business. Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling dismissed and unwelcome.
    When I entered the studio, no one greeted me or offered any guidance, despite a staff member being seated right next to the flash sheets. While there was a sign on the table and prices could be seen if you walked over, no one explained the process, and key information—like pricing—was not available ahead of time online. As a result, I had no way to plan in advance and had to show up and just hope for the best. That’s not an accessible or inclusive approach, especially for folks budgeting around travel, time, or finances.
    After sharing my experience online, I received several defensive replies from the studio attempting to explain away the concerns instead of taking accountability. A more polite response came later, but it lacked real follow-through or meaningful reflection.
    As a bisexual person attending a Pride event, I left feeling more excluded than supported—deeply disappointing for something meant to uplift the LGBTQIA+ community.
    I’m sharing this so others in the community can make informed decisions about where they feel genuinely seen, respected, and supported.
