TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Serviced our system in April (routine maintenance) and we immediately had a problem that evening after the technician left. Told us to place the system in bypass. It is now the end of June and we are still in bypass with disgusting water! No one answers the phone. No one updates us. Our fixtures and clothing are being ruined with iron. I cant cook with the water. We cant drink the water. I understand that things happen but at least answer the phone and respond to your paying customers!

The water testing was very informative. We now know the different impurities in our water. I decided to get a filter and it was affordable and installed with no issues. Very nice people. I would definitely recommend them.

A person came by my home, onto my property, stating he was hired by Henrico County to collect water samples due to reports of contaminated water and health concerns. I provided a sample as he seemed legitimate. Today I received a phone call from this company to report that their "TDS" test on dissolved solids has a "acceptable level" of 10-20 and mine is 135. I inquired about the methodology of their testing which they were unable to answer. They also used words like "purity" rather than scientific terminology or providing a parts per million for specific chemicals. They claimed that the sample size was not big enough to provide that information, which is untrue. Analytical chemistry can determine presence of chemicals with the sample size I provided. They recommended sending a technician to collect more water directly from inside my home, from the kitchen sink. There is no legitimate test to indicate heavy metals or harmful things based on in-home testing. Any legitimate scientist will confirm this. I think their approach is false and misleading for people who are not aware of how water testing is actually conducted by legitimate companies. I think HR Water Service is aware and uses this approach as a sales tool, misleading people to believe their water is unsafe when that is not true. They are misrepresenting their work as a service to the community when in fact it is a sales pitch. BEWARE they are not using legitimate testing methods.

We collected 1ml of water from this person, showed them our company badge and told her we are independent and not the city.    The form that was filled out upon collection clearly states "I fully understand Hampton Roads Water Services is a private testing company not affiliated with city or county and I authorize HRWS to contact me with test results"  When she called us, we also repeated we are not the city.   We have an audio recording of this as well.

She is upset that the person on the phone did not know the testing process or methodology.   Nicole should understand this is because that person is a secretary and not the lab tech.

She was upset expecting lab results for free as if we are going to run hundreds of tests for free.   She is claiming all that can be done with 1 ml of water, which at least with our capabilities is not possible.   She provided 20 drops or 1 ml of water and insisted that was enough to do more testing, which we can only do what we can do with our equipment.

She responded "Analytical chemistry can determine presence of chemicals with the sample size I provided".

Perhaps she has the capabilities to do so with 20 drops of water but we do not.   We offered to send a tech to the house to collect a larger sample at no cost and this seemed to irritate her.

She stated "There is no legitimate test to indicate heavy metals or harmful things based on in-home testing Any legitimate scientist will confirm this. I think their approach is false and misleading for people who are not aware of how water testing is actually conducted by legitimate companies. This statement is not true.   We test for all sorts of possible problems including but not limited to lead and copper.  We have a partner lab that can and does test for all sorts of things in the water, but she insisted we are not legitimate and she knows all about lab testing.

I do know know what to tell this person, because we offer all ranges of lab testing from basic to complex.  We offer full lab reports that are used for mortgages, loans, etc...

I am sorry this customer feels the way they do, but we tried explaining and she insisted she knew best.   I am sorry she feels for some reason we don't do lab testing.   I think in the end she wanted more for free than we offer for free.
