    Ordered a dumpster from First Container in Mar, First Container picked up the dumpster in Mar. The credit card used to pay for the services was being charged monthly from March through Sept. I spoke to ***** from Meridian Waste who bought out Container ************************** stated the contract was never closed & we would receive a $1500 refund check. Its been 2 weeks, no check and ***** has not returned any of my phone calls.

    Had a conversation with the Complainant about the funds not being refunded. Customer informed me that she was waiting on a refund from the account. She also stated that she closed the account that was used to charge the service. Though Meridian was not informed of her banking change with the refund was being processed. Customer called back inquiring about the refund and the call was answered on 10/08. She further explained the situation with the banking change. Meridian explained that a check would now need to be cut for the refund. This is a corporate function which takes time to process and send out. All of this had been explained to customer on 10/08 once the information was provided to Meridian.

    They over charged for their services more than 2 years I tried to contact with them in that time and could not find till I told them I do not want their services anymore. They tried to give me better prices but they already breach the contract and I basically asked them to remove their dumpster on my business site they did 2 months later. They asked me to mail them stop services request with certificated letter etc. I did all and now they are requesting over than $1000 fee for stop services included late fees. I have letter from A.R.M ************* about collection. I am not willing to pay any liquidated damage fees for this services. I have all the email conversation with them they knew they overcharged 2 years. They owe $1600 they were requesting $1200 something for liquidated damage for cancellation I just asked them If you refund me that $1600 I can pay that cancellation fees. As you can see on the attachment they said by error my price up by mistake they overcharged so they breached the contract they have to pay fees not me

    I am rejecting this response because:
    No one contact with me about this. Also they just responded they will forwarded to customer services department. They can remove that collection f that they sent it I attached on my first email or they can pay me back $1600 difference and I can pay their $1000 cancellation fees. Otherwise this response is not looking like they are trying to solution this problem.

    Meridian has researched the complaint based on the BBB matter. Per the original agreement, price increases were allowed thru the term of the agreement. The customer called in Feb 2023 and spoke to the rep for his area. Through multiple conversations a new agreement was reached. At that time the customer was given a price guarantee for one year of the agreement. Inadvertently, the customer received a price increase on the 11th month. Of which the customer contacted ********************** and we acknowledged the issue and credited the funds for the increase at that time. During this time a new rep was assigned to the customer. And to help mitigate this previous issue, rep offered to help correct the issue and also provide a 2-year guarantee. At which time the customer refused and wanted to end agreement. Our rep explained there was a (valid) current agreement in place and there are penalties for early termination. Our rep explained what the options were and also gave customer the termination penalty. Customer did not care and wanted to proceed.

    At this time, the account has been cancelled. Customer is not due any additional credits or refunds and is responsible for the early termination liquidated damages.

    We contracted with this company to get weekly, every Friday Dumpster emptying. They have numerous times not shown up. We are a busy *********** so we get a lot of regular trash! So, in 1 week we can easily fill our 4yd dumpster & then when they miss a pick up, trash begins to overflow onto the ground until we have about 1/2 dumpster load on the ground. Of course, I try to call right away, but they rarely answer and forget leaving a message even if the voicemail is on because you will not get a response. Every time when I eventually get in contact with them after numerous calls and emails, they just apologize and say it won't happen again. Well, this week was at least the 4th time and that was enough chances for any business. I am cancelling their services and have ordered to pick up their dumpster and all the mess they caused and I have a new company starting tomorrow! If I could figure out how to contact their corporate office I would let them know they need to either makes some serious changes in this location or close it all together! I did speak to some man who said he was the manager over the phone and stated "this was the first he has heard of any of these issues" Well if that is true then there are major staffing issues!

    I facilitated a meeting with our ** Branch Operation Manager and ******.   We serviced the account yesterday as well as cleaned the up area and then removed the can as requested by the customer.
