      On February 14th we had a fire in our house and I called Consolidated the next day to get mitigation services started. They started the following week and promised to clean the walls, all items in the house, duct work, and prime/seal the walls. Once it came to the point of them cleaning and sorting all of the items in the house they said it they didn't have enough room in their warehouse and refused to clean or sort any of the items in our house like they originally promised. They proceeded to hiring someone to prime and seal the walls which they did a horrible job - paint want dripping they painted the door hinges and left paint all over the floors. We submitted a complaint with the company and asked to see their invoice before they sent it to our adjuster, this still has yet to be done. We have called the company every day for the past three weeks asking for an invoice and they have not sent it or reconciled their services with our insurance. We are to the point where a sworn statement of loss has to be submitted within 60 days of loss and they have yet to get their part completed and turned in and this should've been done months ago. They lied about their services, what they would do, and the work they did was not acceptable.

      My issue is with **** *****, who came out and looked at what was needed, and said he’d get back with me on an estimate. A few days later I called and inquired when I might get his estimate; he put me off until “the middle-ish of next week”. I could hear in his voice he was bothered, so I decided to give him even more time. Going on 3 weeks later and still NO follow up from him. The reason for the complaint is that he was told I was living in a hotel and the work to be done was urgent. He could see the conditions and knew there was very little walking room and no shower, all reasons to not be able to occupy the home. (The dust from the tear down also made it impossible to stay, because cleaning was impossible with everything from the bedroom being piled into the living room and kitchen). His never contacting me to, at the least, be honest and say he didn’t want the job, caused a great waste of my time, time lost for searching for a willing contractor.

       Another company did the demolition/mitigation on her trailer and they recommended CCS for repairs.  **** ***** did visit her home and told her that he would try to get her an estimate shortly.  He also told her we were 12 to 14 weeks away from starting any repairs.  His impression was that she would not wait that long for repairs to begin and that she was looking at other options.  We did not know where she was living but our impression was that she was getting other quotes so we were not her only option.  I am sorry if she feels we let her down on the timing of getting her a quote.  We should have responded that we were too busy to provide an estimate.

      I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
      1) “He (***** also told her we were 12 to 14 weeks away from starting any repairs”….that is a completely false statement. He simply took my email address and said he’d text or email an estimate so I could get that info to my insurance company.  Indeed, I was expressing gratitude; the kind of delay the respondent speaks of would have generated an entirely different response.  Then, when I called asking about the estimate and he put me off for “middle-ish of next week”, I believed he was doing what he said he was going to do!  He simply never followed through after that, and my time was wasted. “His (******) impression was that she would not wait that long for repairs to begin”… true, it was an urgent need, which I told him the day I called, and when he came out, I restated the urgency, pointing out the fact that I obviously could not live there under the current conditions.  “Our impression was that she was getting other quotes” is being pulled out of the hat for purposes of a response to this complaint, but no such “impression” was ever given. I did no further searches until I realized this company was not going to follow up!
