I ordered some flour, rolling pins, and a pricey stainless steel measuring cups and spoons set online. All were charged as three transactions through my ****** account. After receiving the measuring cups and spoons I decided to return them and after receiving directions from the company via email I followed those instructions and mailed the return in the original box via ***** I provided them with a return tracking number and was promised a refund was processing. They received the return on 6/2 but are now claiming that I never paid for the item in the first place, refusing to refund the order! I sent them screenshots of my bank statement showing the item was paid for and they still refused.

I went on their site and a pop up window came up offering 20% off to new customers who sign up. There were no restrictions or exclusions listed. There was no fine print saying that exclusions may apply. So I signed up and didnt get the code right away, after several hours I opened a chat with someone there and she was able to generate the email with the discount code. When I tried to use it for my first purchase it didnt work because the code excludes appliances. I was trying to purchase a stand mixer. I opened another chat and was told that in the email that you received after you sign up has a link that lists exclusions like appliances. But that was not on the ad and I only signed up because it didnt have any exclusions on the ad. Its a matter of bait and switch. So I called in to their customer service and spoke with someone who explained that they have an arrangement with their manufacturers that doesnt allow discounts on their products. I explained again that the ad didnt mention the possibility of exclusions and was there something that King Arthur ** could do to honor their advertisement. I was told that they could give me a $20 e card that I could use toward my purchase of a stand mixer. While I appreciated that offer it still doesnt touch the advertised 20% off and so I asked again if they would honor it. She referred to their arrangement with the manufacturers again and I said that I understood her point but that King Arthur ** is responsible for their advertising campaigns and if they offer one thing and then change the rules after the consumer has done their part then its false advertising and misleading. If they could offer me a $20 ecard that I could use toward the purchase of the mixer why couldnt they offer me an ecard equivalent to the amount I would have saved with the 20% discount? The **** is on the retailer to honor their arrangement with the consumer and anything else feels dishonest and misleading.
