    I paid this business $297,860.36 for a home remodel and not all of the work promised has been completed. I have tried to contact the owner by email and phone and cannot get any commitment on when the work will be completed. There are two items that have not been completed that were paid for and are noted by the company in email to me on April 28th. As stated in the email, "[tiler] to replace transitions" and "[painter] to fix radius left behind from existing transitions both upstairs and downstairs." In good faith I wrote the last check on May 5th for $31,724.73 and was told the material to complete the upstairs transition was on order and would arrive at the end of May and the work would be completed thereafter. I spoke with the owner at the beginning of June and confirmed that the material arrived. I have not been able to get any further details about when the work will get completed. I would like help getting this project finished as promised. I have paid for the work even though it has not been completed as promised.Finally, I returned some tile for a fireplace that the owner purchased for the project and that I paid for. The owner said he spoke with the tile company he purchased the tile from and they indicated they would likely issue a refund of around 70% of the original price. I have not seen a refund for the tile and would like to be reimbursed for the tile that was purchased, paid for and then returned.

    Hello and thank you for reaching out. I am *******************, the new Owner of Mackinstance as of May 15, 2023. The previous owner, *******************, is no longer here, and this issue was just made known to me on June 20. I immediately reached out to the Customer, who was cordial and understanding of the change of ownership. I picked up the new tile transition material on the 23rd, and the work is scheduled for replacement this Friday June 30. The painter will be out next week to complete the radius transition. With regard to the fireplace tile, the tiler has been storing it in his shop. I will procure it on Friday and return it to the supplier next week for a refund. I am in regular communications now with the Customer, and I believe all issues will be resolved by next week. Please reach out if I can assist further.
