      Ive been using their wifi service for almost two years and i will be switching to anything else as soon as possible. I wish I could give them a 0 truly. Some of the worst customer service Ive ever dealt with. Which ***** because their wifi is so terrible and their billing changes so frequently that i am constantly having to reach out to them. I joined for the deal my apartment was offering and with how much money and time ive wasted in surprise fees and unannounced price changes. I wouldve been better at ********* The wifi goes out at least once a week. And its one of the slowest networks ive ever been on. Save yourself some pain and frustration and just pick another provider.

      Astound Broadband had terrible wifi, crapping out almost daily. And ******************, whose name I don't even care to spell check, is a terrible customer service rep. ** not only tricked me into paying more just because I lived around rich people, but he was rude to me when I needed to cancel. How does he have the ******* contract?

      $400 a month for slow internet (100 MPS) and basic cable TV is excessive. If I was a new customer, I could get the same service for well under $200 a month. Attempted to call customer service but the automated service hung-up on me. Attempted to use the on-line chat but they could do nothing and suggested that I talk to a representative. I told them that I had unsuccessfully tried this route numerous times and they suggested that I try again. This is a scam...they don't want really want to talk to me. My only option is to drive 30 minutes to their main office and talk to someone in person. If 5G was available in my area I would drop this company like a bad habit.

      Absolutely atrocious company! I have never in my adult life had such a consistently poor experience with a company. Their service is unreliable, the cost randomly increases without warning, and every CS representative Ive spoken to has been apathetic at best. The final straw was that *their* router that we rent from *them* stopped functioning within a year. They wanted me to pay $80 to replace it or add $5 to our bill each month. It felt like I was being extorted for an issue with *their* product. Do not choose RCN!

      They dont even deserve one star! More than doubled my internet price with no warning. I called them. Spent 4 plus hours on hold only to get through to someone who said they had gotten my bill back down. Next month comes around same price! No changes! They make you pay the late fee before they can get into your account to change things. Ive been through this twice now and absolutely nothing has changed. Spent over 10 total hours on hold with three different people. The customer service is non-existent!! The one out of three times I wasnt hung up on when somebody finally answered the phone after hours on hold, they just said that I could either pay the past due amount or there was nothing else they could do and my service would stay disconnected. No further details! Nothing! Absolutely! Terrible! DO NOT! I repeat! DO NOT!!! Use astound or wave! Youre better off throwing money in your toilet and expecting it to be a modem! At least the toilet would have better customer service. Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with! Hands down. I dont care how desperate you are, youre better off going to the library or some such for internet. I cannot put into words how ridiculous of an experience this has been. I have worked many customer service jobs and understand being busy and frustrated. I dont write a bad review ever, but here I am! Do not make the mistake I made! Dont waste valuable time in your life, your precious money, or any of your energy with this company. ******************

      I can't comment yet on the reliability since I've only had service for a week or so, but I can comment on the install process at a house I just bought. At the initial install appointment, the installer informed me that the house was not connected to the pole. Luckily the house is within 300 ft of a pole to hook up to. Astound immediately started the process to have a contractor lay a line under the road and to my house. I work from home and couldn't move in to the house without internet. Astound expedited the install and it was done in half the time of the original estimate. The contractor left almost no trace at the road, through a grass area, down a slope with mulch, and across a gravel path. The inside installers ran a new line from outside into the wiring closet and had to fight quite a bit with a difficult route from the crawlspace into the closet. At the end I have a 900Mbps connection for a great price (guaranteed for two years), and the whole install process including the outside ground work cost me $10.

      terrible, terrible service. they increase your price every 3 months without absolutely no warning. my prices literally doubled within a year and when you talk to customer service they justify saying promotion expired however I wasnt receiving a promotion. not to talk about when their service goes down for DAYS and youre not even given any help. Please stay away from this company if you can.

      Absolutely terrible. I'm in a nightmare with this company right now. I disconnected and paid my final bill in September 2022. In January I recieve a letter from a collections agency attempting to collect $350 on behalf of this company! I call Astound and I'm informed I did everything right but they messed up and did not disconnect the internet until December due to non-payment (obviously. Because I disconnected four months prior). It's now May and I thought this was taken care of. NOPE. That collection is now impacting my credit score and now Astound is claiming it's my fault. WHAT!? This company has been EXHAUSTING to do business with. Inconsistent bills, lots of random charges, their billing department just cannot get it together. Seems like a huge lack of compassion or care for their customers. I hope they get shut down instead of allowed to run rampant, conning people out of their hard earned money. Truely embarrassing and not ethical businesses practices.

      looks like i was right about complaining about speeds, the internet has not been what they're promoting/ selling since the start of receiving the service, now i can see the proof.. scandalous company. all these one stars... smh

      I had THE WORST experience with them. Long story short, they would schedule dates to install my router and would never show. After the 5th time calling and rescheduling, I literally sat on a chair, outside waiting. They never showed. **************** said, The technicians reported no one was home and had no access inside the home. They called multiple times and no one answered. I literally SAT OUTSIDE ALL DAY for one of my appointments and no one ever came. Phone NEVER rang. I had to go without internet for a MONTH.I finally got internet because I randomly spotted an Astound van in the neighbourhood, and literally flagged the technician down and forced him to come to my home and install whatever router they had in stock in their van. And then they had the audacity to charge me an $89 installation fee! All the technician did was PLUG IN THE ROUTER TO AN OUTLET. I called before and asked them to mail the router to me and I could self-install, but nope, they said it had to be installed by a technician.I have never felt such agony until I dealt with Astound. I cant believe Im saying this, but I shouldve just went with ******** They do not deserve even one star.
