Wors ISP I have ever had. I pay for 300mbps and I CANT GET OVER #**! The service tech has come out and verified everything on my side. The tech then proceeded to tell me that Astound in ********, was knows ehey can't keep up with local demand and he said it's because of "oversaturation". So tell me what I am paying more and receiving less? This is false advertising and theft.Astound Broadband powered by Wave

After subscribed for 2 months monthly bill steadily increased and the bill for the 4th month has increased over 100% compared to the first two bills. We were promised promotional price for 1 year and it hasn't even been a year yet (not even half a year).ISP's reason for charging extra is going over internet usage limit. Fee for this isn't even close for what we are being charged. Tech who installed our equipment said plan would be more than enough to cover internet usage. There are no new devices that have been added that would cause this and only devices on the network are owned by us.At this point there is a strong consideration of just cancelling and paying $350 versus getting overcharged extra $100+ dollars for 8 more months. Money is basically being taken away from us and borderline price gouging.Astound Broadband powered by Wave

Astound has been non-compliant with my ***. I accepted their change in my communications in November 2022, with over 6 calls, documented. I still do not have the *** on my file. Their answer is that I have not replied to their phone calls - to a number they replaced in November. They said they sent an email, I checked spam and trash, nothing till February 15, which I responded to that day. Thus I am paying my bill, less the *** amount, and now I get a late fee on top of it. Today sent a letter to *********************, CEO of Astound.If I have no satisfaction by April 15, I will make out a complaint to BBB.Melody AAstound Broadband powered by Wave

Terrible customer service. Didn't even get to a customer service rep when service was down for multiple days, the system just gave the message "reps won't be able to help until service interruption has been restored" and it hangs up. No customer support, ***** intermittent service, many hours wasted trying to resolve issues with a majority of employees that simply don't care about "your problem". BTW, 1 ********** is only about 700k on the good days, and $18/mo for modem rental is very expensive for $120 hardwareAstound Broadband powered by Wave

Every year on our "anniversary" Astound (Wave) increases our monthly fee by about 100%. If we call to complain they renegotiate to about 50-60%. So, for many people who don't pay close attention Astound has made a ***** type profit. If one negotiates then the increase is still outlandish. And, even though I signed up for automatic payments, there are months that I am not charged and then bilIed a late fee the following month. Thirdly, I rarely watch TV since the choices are so miserable. If it weren't necessary for the news I would cancel altogether.Astound Broadband powered by Wave

Worst experience with not only a cable company, but in customer service overall. ******************** is quick to schedule my install, but when it a technician came out the first, AND second time to install my cable, they couldnt do it because theyre partnered dispatch service hadnt yet installed my underground cable. When I confronted Astound about this, with the technicians in front of me, they told me they dont have any direct contact with their dispatch service, so they had absolutely no way of getting in contact with them, or knowing when the cable was going to be installed. I find this very hard to believe. On the third attempt to install my cable, after they finally had gotten the underground cable installed, it took about three hours! and the technician had to use MY phone and MY computer to get everything set up right. Heres the kicker. When I originally called to sign up for their services, I had a promotion code that I got in the mail from them that they said they didnt have an expiration date for. It was for the first month free, free installation, and a $200 **** gift card Sounds great, right? However, because they were so late and installing my services, they said that promotion had expired, and could no longer be applied. So therefore, I had to pay my first bill (not free like it was supposed to be). And of course they sent out the billing statement right on time, unlike everything else. I am expecting a call back from a manager today and will see how it goes. The customer service representatives, although nice and pleasant, Ive been no help because they have no power to do anything for their customers.Astound Broadband powered by Wave

Sketchy and terrible business. Pricing constantly changes with no explanation and not upfront with their pricing either. Terrible customer service and their internet/wifi hardly works. You have to restart the modem/router every time you use it and if you want to replace the modem/router they replace it with another old and broken one. Management doesnt call back and just terrible experience overall. Wouldnt recommend using their service at all. Its a literal waste of money.Astound Broadband powered by Wave

They sold me on there internet TV. IT IS Garbage. MOST HOWS you get WITH there plans are so old and out dated. ANYTHING worth watching cost more money. As for the internet to support it seems phones and computers work when INTERNET TV does not . You call for service tell tell you to turn off and back on. You schedule appointment you might get someone three or for days later. WE live out of town and have few options. SAD for all.Astound Broadband powered by Wave

Astound Broadband took over our Wave Broadband service a few months ago. For the first month or so our service was spotty, sometimes off for hours at a time. It was not just us, it also was happening to others in our small town. **************** wouldn't answer their phones except with a recording, couldn't talk to anyone. The only time they will answer their phones is if you call to add service. When we had Wave our service was excellent and rarely down and their **************** was outstanding.Then about 3 months ago I went to pay my bill, I pay online and have never been late. We have been with Wave for almost 20 years, since before there was an option to pay online. But when I went to pay about 3 months ago they appeared a request to set up autopay. I don't do autopay, that's leaves your bank account open to them to charge whatever they want, whenever they want. Then they said they would add $1.00 to my bill if I didn't use autopay and they called it a 'convenience fee'. Excuse me? For whose convenience? It's extortion, plain and simple. So now every month I'm being charged $1 to pay my bill to a company that has horrid internet service and customer service. Sadly they know they have me tied in because I live out of town and it's the only service available.My daughter made the mistake of having autopay with her cell phone provider - they charged her $1000 for ending her contract which she no longer was tied to. She had even called them prior to switching providers to confirm she was no longer on contract and they told her she wasn't and all was well. She had to take them to court to get her money back, but that didn't cover all the overdraft fees that had been incurred when they stole her money.Astound Broadband powered by Wave
