      Suddenly charging me for a converter box that I don't have after a LONG time of just internet service from them. No amount of telling them their records are wrong (because records are never wrong, right?) results in anything other than i must pay for a box I don't have. If they weren't the only provider in my area I would find another provider. **************** is good, customer service (the sudden finding of a box i don't have and subsequently must pay for regardless) not so much.

      I've used this internet for nearly 8 years now. (Not by choice, only service available in my area) Let me tell you right now--this company is borderline predatory. The way they exploit hidden costs and fees is unreal. I've been charged nearly 300 dollars for a single month before. They once offered me an "Eero Upgrade" and told me it would be a free upgrade on the phone via customer support. After installation and about 6 months later, my bill suddenly shot up over 30 dollars per month more, because, although the installation was free, the 'free upgrade' was only free for 6 months and then costed extra. To anyone reading this, I would highly recommend walking to the edge of the world seeking any other service provider in your area. Avoid Wave (Astound) at literally all costs. You can thank me later.

      Lost internet first thing in the morning. No appointments for technicians for 3 days. Called and offered to buy my own modem but in order to get any help I would have to cancel the technicians appointment. Asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they would call me back in 24-48hrs. Horrible customer service. Wish I could switch providers.

      We have been without internet for 28 days now. Weve been calling almost every day to get this resolved. Weve known what the issue has been since the first week and nothing has been done about it. We try to explain every time that its not a tech issue but a cable issue and the construction crew needs to come out. Was even told at one point that the outage was fixed.. complete lie. On day 24, I had a supervisor send emails to dispatch and to reopen our outage. On day 25, I actually got a call back and was told that the construction crew would be out Monday morning (day 28) and should have our internet back no later than Wednesday morning. It is now the afternoon and still no one. As a student who takes classes online, I really need my internet. Absolute worst customer service Ive ever had to deal with in my life. We feel like we are being played and that we are the last priority at this point. Weve been customers for years and the neighbors have been customers for a few years as well. When the underground cable was corroded and we lost internet back in August of 2022, it took the construction crew three weeks to even come out to start working on it.

      Well everything was going good until October, they charged me my normal $63.92, Then Nov $92.72, Dec.$157.72,Then I got unlimited So it should have been $90 a month then. Jan $247.Obviously something is wrong with the internet. There's no way it goes from $63.92 to $247 a month. I called them in December and told him about my issue and they said well I'm using too much internet. I don't understand how I've been doing the same thing for over almost two years. So I had them switch it to unlimited and then my next bill is $247. I think we are about to part ways and that is too bad cuz they actually had decent service. I don't know what's going on with the Crookery.

      Service is terrible.Just had new system installed, many questions, no instruction book, printer now doesn't work, was told nothing changed re printer, still too ex pensive, not easy to use.Hate Astound! Price goes up every month or so. Now $260 per mo.Hated WAVE too, now even worse.Calling the Astound President tomorrow! Don't expect a thing!!What ever happened to Utility regulation?

      *Beware* Before it changed to Astound recently, we were paying about $61/month for internet. After the switch, the quality of our internet has been decreasing. Multiple interruptions and slower service. To our shock, our December bill was about $340 which included about $260 in overuse charges. We rarely exceed our 300GB limit and we average below that. Our records showed we used over 1,260GB of data in October, which is just not true or possible for us (its just 2 of us). Another odd thing is that they charged our October overuse on our December bill, not November. We called to dispute this but got hung up on 2 times in a row. The 3rd time, the worker on the phone attempted to resolve the issue by insisting we upgrade to the more expensive unlimited plan, but eventually was able to decrease our bill by only $100 and said she would discuss the matter with one of the higher *** and they would give us a call later. Its been more than 1 week and we havent received a call. We are very disappointed in this company and we will be switching to a more professional and trustworthy provider.

      This is a copy of a letter I sent to Attorney general *************************** Office:I am writing you about a problem that just keeps getting worse for us and our neighbors. It involves our cable wireless service provider, Astound (formerly Wave) which has no competition where we live so we cant even switch to a different company. We and others have had horrible service from them and almost daily calls for months complaining that we cant access the internet, and also disrupts our phone service, which means we cant access 911 if we need it. We are retired and the thought of not being able to get through to 911 is frightening to say the least. (we let our landline go years ago because we were assured that cell would be the only thing needed in the future. After all the calls and complaining about rate hikes and poor service, we had an operator promise to keep our bill (in August 2022) the same for one year, only to have them bill us at 15 dollars a month more in January. Their technicians have been to our home at least a half a dozen times, Switching out our router and replacing the cable from the street, and we still get interruptions on a daily basis, and looking at the next door app, we are not the only ones.       Terrible customer service. On my second day of calls, trying to solve a problem that they created. Each call more than an hour long, mostly on hold listening to repeat ads. No alternative provider where I live. Ridiculous. I would go elsewhere if I could.

      Our basic cable internet went from $50 (Dec 22) a month to $106 (Jan 23). In one month! Shocking. Is there no public regulation of this service? I am hoping we can switch but right now only service in our area. Never had a business double our cost without warning.
