      Astound/RCN is undoubtedly the single most garbage company I have ever encountered in my lifetime. They are unhelpful, rude, incompetent, and most importantly untruthful. I have been a customer for three years, have had my bills set to auto-pay, and would occasionally notice that the monthly price had increased. When this would occur, I would call in and they would offer some sort of small concession indicating that they had added "promotions" back to my account that seemingly only lasted a month before they would sneak the price upward yet again. After reviewing the total of these hidden increases, which clearly prey on the highest quality customers, Astound / RCN had swindled several hundred dollars from **** have since called back several times to have this resolved, and have been promised a "call back" which predictably and inevitably never comes. I will happily now make it a priority and lifelong vendetta to dissuade anyone and everyone that I can from using this horrendous company. They only thing astound-ing about this organization of criminals, thieves, and fraudsters is that they are able to get away with it.Make no mistake about it, they have earned every negative review that you see here, and if I could rate their service with negative stars I would

      The Astound upgrade that’s coming this month is $500 hundred more a year for the same service I currently have They won’t tell you unless you ask I am going to find a better deal elsewhere

      I have had wave and astound. They have all been astoundingly horrible! You pay for a service that very rarely works. Youre out of service for hours. If you work from home youre going to lose money because there is always an issue and then they charge stupid prices and want you to pay for a service they cant even consistently provide! The only reason they have customers is because they are a **** monopoly in the area! Why is there nothing as consumers we can do to change this? Theyve screwed us long enough!

      I have been lied to.I have no other choice for ******************* in my area.Wave, Astound customer service, technicians talk me into going Internet only and streaming.So I did.Now the problem.I went to *** steam channel.I can not get it unless I buy Basic cable , c*** tv, for ***** a month.I have been LIED TO BY WAVE/ ASTOUND THEY TOLD ME TO GO INTERNET.LIERS IF I NEW HOW I WOULD START A LAWSUIT FOR ALL OF US TO GET THIS FIXED.I HATE MY TV PROVIDER

      Stay away from Astound. Astound Rep ***** from ************* took my order for WiFi and mobile. He provided misinformation, as Astound now calls it. His assurances are in texts and on a business card, but Astound isnt interested in seeing them. Rep texted/promised:**** would be locked in for two years. Business card says 2 year price lock. Astound ******* now says lock-in is only for one year, regardless of what rep promised. Her lead, *********** said there were no two-year locks for my speed. ******** at yet another level, said nothing could be done. Bottom line: Astound feels no need to honor reps *********** eero pro 6, the most current version of the eero, and an eero beacon.WiFi installer said they dont provide these for installs of my type. Also said my existing eero is better than what he would have installed. Rep said hed look into it. Never got back to me.No fees. I noticed online references to a one-time activation fee, so I specifically asked about it, along with taxes and any other fees. The rep texted that All fees are included. Ive had Astound mobile for four days, and today I was billed for taxes, surcharges and fees, along with the activation fee. **************** says, Sorry for the misinformation. WiFi install would be done in one day. The technician hadnt shown up by the time the four-hour window had closed. I contacted the rep, who texted that It will get done today no matter when they get there theyll stay and finish it. The tech finally arrived but only spray-painted lines on my gravel driveway for a shallow BSR (borehole) trench. Up to that time, the rep had said nothing about a borehole. Hed been to my house, so he should have known Id need one. It delayed everything by about two months. The borehole guys showed up a few weeks later without notice. They left a noticeable ridge over the buried line, which Ive had to rake down. Spray paint remains on my driveway and under my deck. Dont trust Astound,

      I have been a wave customer for as long as I can remember. They were one of the two internet providers available in my neighborhood, so I didn't have much choice. Their pricing and customer service were great before they changed their name. Don't expect their technicians perform your needed work orders, because they don't show up! I took a day off today so I can be home for their tech person, no phone calls, no knock, left and canceled the appointment on his own! WTF? Talked to their customer service, they literately told me there's nothing they can do, but can escalate the case and give me a new case number. No follow up calls, and my internet is still down.

      Astound is THE worst! Overpriced, shady service practices, horrible customer service and support. Unfortunately, I live rural and have no other choices for service. Astound takes advantage of pricing for my self and others in my area. Old customers are not given discounts that new customers are given. Im saving up for Skylink. Avoid Astound!!!!

      Overall service is good , as expected, internet is 100 Mbps on cable, 60 on wifi. Beware they claim to have a fix price of 25 $ all in (***** $ for internet), but not the case - they can charge you an infrastructure fee of 13 $ more(+ 40%). Even if office and phone representative told me that nothing but 25$ /mo(asked twice with an address). Autopay is for charging you more without letting you notice that.

      Absolutely terrible service. Outages for days and they won't even let you terminate your Internet with them until they get it back up and running. Calling is pointless. They do not let you talk to anyone but the stupid robot. I will be switching as soon as I can. DO NOT PAY THIS ISP!
