On October 25, 2023, Better Business Bureau contacted Seattle Laser Like Lipo concerning advertising claims regarding health benefits and guarantees associated with its non-invasive lipo, Low-Level Laser Light Therapy (LLLT), and body contouring services. Specifically, the company claims on its website https://seattlelaserlikelipooffer.online/ that its procedures:
- Are performed by a "licensed professional," and are handled by "specialists."
- “Clears deadly plaque from arteries without pills, needles, or surgery.”
- Are especially beneficial for "healing musculoskeletal conditions, as it reduces inflammation and heals muscles, ligaments, tendons, and connective tissues for certain health conditions.”
When a company claims to be offering "healing" qualities associated with its procedures, Better Business Bureau requires substantiation of such claims. According to the Code of Advertising, advertisers must be prepared to substantiate such claims through independent scientific testing. As of November 28, 2023, Seattle Laser Like Lipo has not responded with substantiation, modifications, or discontinuance of these claims.
