of January 24, 2017, BBB has received two reports from consumers alleging they
were contacted by Bernie Cargo LLC with a work from home employment offer which
required them to receive packages at their home address, relabel them and ship
them to a forwarding address. Bernie Cargo allegedly advertised
themselves as a freight forwarding company that was founded in 1900 and has 25
offices in 6 countries and 700 employees. BBB could not verify any of
these statements to be true.
BBB
could not locate a business registration with Washington Department of Revenue
or Washington Secretary of State. The website, www.berniecargo.net, was registered on
October 14, 2016. BBB has confirmed with the Property Management company
the suite number advertised does not exist. The owner of the website is privacy protected by a
company in Punjab, Pakistan. As of January 24, 2017, the website has been
suspended. On November 29, 2016, BBB attempted to contact the business by email
for more information. To date, the business has not responded.
