This situation occurred May 17, 2024. I've tried contacting the business several times and did not get a response from them. I wrote a review on the Better Business Bureau's website and did not get a response from this business.I am taking this a step higher now. If I can't get the results I want here, I will contact my lawyer. On May 17, 2024, I drove my 90 year old father to a business on ********** just north of ****************************************. He had an appointment close by. I parked in a parking lot we've been using for years. When we got back to the car there was a ticket on our windshield for $83.15. I called the company and told them that I would not pay the ticket because there were no signs in the parking lot saying that we could not park there. I was told that there are signs. This is a lie. If there are signs there, they are not clearly visible. I was also told that it is my choice not to pay the ticket, but if I do not pay the ticket, my car will be towed if I ever park in a Diamond Parking lot again.First of all, I do not know where all of the Diamond Parking Lots are in the city because there is no clear signage anywhere.Second of all, it is not legal to tow my car just because I don't pay a ticket.I want a written apology for this more for my 90 year old father's sake. I have never encountered such arrogance and spite from a business before.Business Response

I have been unable to reach a person to speak with in customer support. In December of 2023 I visited ******* for a week of work meetings. I parked in one of the Republic Parking open air parking lots under I-5 (Lot Code 1134, ***********************. I arrived in the morning at approximately 6:20am. I parked, went to the pay kiosk and paid the fee for the day ($12.00) I have an image of the cell phone notification I received when the charge went through.A few months later I received a notice B172971. The notice indicates a time of 16:43 and a type 2 (Parking receipt expired) for $93.I initially thought it was just a misunderstanding and they thought I had not paid. So I went online and submitted the photo of my credit card charges indicating I had paid. However, I received a second letter indicating I would be sent to collections. So I have tried numerous times to contact Republic Parking via phone to discuss this but nobody ever answers.Im not disputing the fact that I may have ran late that day. I know that some of my meetings that week did run long. However, I would dispute that I was only offered 1 payment option for the day which I paid and interpreted as payment for day. I am not local and can not go back and view the exact wording of the signage.I would take their word that there was some indication of a specific time period, and as such I would have been (I am) willing to pay a reasonable fee for extending the time of my stay by a couple hours. Unfortunately, $93 is not reasonable.I would ask that someone from Republic Parking office contact me regarding this issue.I appreciate your time and help resolving this.Thank YouBusiness Response

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the notice you received. Unfortunately, the lot you parked in was not a Diamond Parking lot. As shown on your credit card charge, and as noted in your complaint, the parking and the ticket were from Republic Parking. This is a separate company and not affiliated with Diamond Parking.
Please reach out to them directly for assistance in this matter.

On April 16, 2024 and on June 12, 2024, my vehicle was given a ticket at a Diamond Parking Service Lot (A483) at the ***************** in *******. On both dates, an appointment in the medical facility was attended. Both dates a ticket was issued. To dispute the ticket private medical information was needed to prove an appointment was attended. A pattern of ticketing regardless of seeking proof, on the parking attendant's end, of someone going into the ** medical building feels like a scam. How do people without technology resources or an electronic paper trail of going into the building dispute these tickets? The tickets have a small time window in which to be paid, 15 days.Business Response

Diamond parking issued me a ticket claiming I walked off their lot because I walked toward ********* steeet. Their lot is situated behind ******* Supermarket on the corner of ********* and ********. I walked toward ********* because I was meeting my wife on the corner of ********* and Broadway by the light because she needed help with my son and the stroller before we walked down Broadway into *******. We were there for a few minutes because they didnt have the diapers my son needed and then went back to the car to find this notice. I was parked there for maybe 12 minutes (youre allowed to park for 30) and I was given a ticket simply because I didnt take the path the parking maid says I have to. Being given a ticket for walking toward ************************* (which ******* is on the corner of) is beyond ridiculous. Especially since I was only there for 12 minutes. Id like this ticket expunged as I was only there for a short time and was parked lawfully.Business Response

Hello,
Our goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued, find a mutual resolution and to prevent it from happening again in the future. Diamond Parking has been hired to enforce these parking rules as posted on the property due to the unauthorized use on the facility. One of the rules posted is that you are not permitted to leave the property without your vehicle, or you can be ticketed and/or towed. Specifically in their case, they were witnessed by our patroller leaving the lot which put them in violation, as stated on signage, and the patroller is contracted to immediately issue a notice. We have however, reviewed the case/appeal and will cancel this notice as a one-time courtesy. Thank you. Have a great day!

I paid for 10 hours of parking in their parking spot, left before my expiration window, and they still are trying to ticket me despite having receipts of the payment. The ticket amount is for $65.50. They gave me the ticket at 06/01/2024 at 11:28PM, despite my parking being valid until 06/02/2024 at 04:00AM.Business Response

I payed for parking using the park mobile app, my parking started at 6:04pm. When I returned to me car I had a "ticket" saying I parked without paying at 6:05pm. I reached out to the business via email to despute this, however according to Reddit it seems like they aren't helpful. *********************************************Business Response

On Saturday May 25th 2024 you gave my family a ticket who clearly has handicaped plates and was legally parked in a handicapped spot.Diamond Parking Service do you not know Washington parking laws?First off look at this picture a legally park car in a legally painted disabled parking spot,First per City of ******* - ******************** website: Parking In ******* There are around 2800 on-street meters in the city, which are enforced 8AM-7PM, *******. May 27, 2024 Diamond Parking Reference # ******** To Whom It May ********* have just received notice that my appeal has been rejected. To Whom It May ********* received a parking violation notice by mail dated May 22, 2024 related to a ticket allegedly issued April 21, 2024. However, the letter states that a payment notice was left on your vehicle requesting payment of the Parking Rules at that facility. In fact, a payment notice was not left on my vehicle. I left my vehicle for 10 minutes to pick up needed medication after checking to ensure that the business, ********** Medical was closed so as not to impede their customers. Photos of my vehicle by ********************** clearly show that no notice had been left on my vehicle. If I had received a notification, I would have addressed the issue at the time, but did not until I was made aware of this issue in late May over one month removed from the violation. Diamond Parking informed me that I have now accrued a late payment penalty and additional costs for a cumulative total of $126.50. The company maintains that their officer observed me leaving my vehicle to conduct business elsewhere. Given the fact that I only left my vehicle for 10 minutes (verifiable by receipt), I can only assume that the company employs the predatory practice of planting personnel at the site to generate an easy stream of revenue. If, indeed, the officer observed this infraction in person, why was there no notification on my vehicle? As the Better Business Bureau directs, I tried to contact Diamond Parking to discuss this issue. Multiple attempts to reach the business via their phone number contact were unsuccessful. I then addressed my concerns in correspondence with the company which denied my appeal without addressing the concerns stated above. Sincerely,Business Response

Hello,
Our goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued, find a resolution and to prevent it from happening again in the future.
Please note that this location is private property and all parking rules have been created by the property owner(s). Diamond Parking has been hired to enforce these parking rules as posted on the property due to the unauthorized use on the facility. There are signs that state that no ****** parking is permitted (I have attached photo one of one of the signs) and doing so could result in a ticket/tow. We have verified there is no photo showing the ticket left on the windshield and will cancel this notice as a one-time courtesy. Thank you.
