Hello, I recently visited a location in downtown ******* to pickup a package that was delivered to an incorrect location. I parked in a diamond services lot at 6:35pm and proceeded to my location. I expected to be gone a maximum of ***** minutes and when I came back at 6:55 I saw someone walking from my vehicle with a printer on his side and then saw a ticket timed 6:54 on the window. The ticket is off an extreme amount of $46.50 where as it is $7.44 for me to pay for the rest of the evening until tomorrow morning. I would hope and expect that the company could do the right thing and either lower the amount to the $7.44 of cancel the charge out for the 20 minutes I was not at my vehicle. The reference number is **********. I would like to be contacted about this matter since your office is closed or to see a proper resolution on here.

Like the downtown street meters that surround this through, parking in our lots requires payment in advance. There is signage at both entrances of this location, as well as throughout the lot, noting the requirement to pay in advance and how to pay. The notices issued are not meant to be an assessment of parking fees, they are an enforcement tool to encourage customers to follow this and other lot policies.

Nonetheless, had the customer reached out to us, with this being their first notice we would have happily reduced the notice to the fees owed as a 1st time courtesy, and we will also extend that offer through the BBB process. Payment for the noted fees may be made through this link:***********************************************

When I arrived at The ***************** on a slow Wednesday evening to meet my colleagues for dinner, I parked in an empty parking lot owned by Diamond Parking. I followed the directions that were posted on multiple signs throughout the parking lot to pay. The ** code I scanned took me to a Parkwhiz website to pay for parking, which I didn't think was odd at the time. As I proceeded to pay for parking I noticed they only had 2 hour increments available for parking. I figured 2 hours would be enough for dinner, so I went ahead and paid. I never received a receipt of payment via email, nor junk mail, however my credit card was charged $5.26. Luckily I took screenshots of my parking pass number as proof of payment. I also downloaded the app to see if I could enter my parking pass number for easy tracking of time, however that wasn't an option. When I returned to my car after a little over 2 hours I found a ticket on the windshield stating I hadn't paid for parking. I filed a dispute, attached a photo of my bank statement as proof of payment, AND spoke with someone about the situation. Instead of eating the loss of issuing a ticket in error for non-payment, they denied my dispute and reduced the fine from $46.50 to $10.86 to account for me staying over my allotted time about 10 minutes. As a recap they only had 2 hour increments available to pay for, I never received a receipt, the issued ticket didn't mention exceeding my time, AND I was told over the phone I had to pay for parking through the Parkwhiz app in order to receive a notification that my parking was expiring so I could add additional time. I do not agree with how Diamond Parking handled this situation. It's not my problem their ticketing and payment system isn't reliable. Paying for parking should not be an inconvenience at the expense of paying customers. I am requesting the removal of the $10.86 fine, as it's not right to penalize customers for the shortcomings of your business operations.

      Business Response

The notice appears to have been issued correctly. The customers receipt, and their own detail of the event, state they stayed over the allotted time.

Additionally, looking at the rate structure of this location, 2 hours is the minimum increment available, but after the initial purchase time may be purchased in 1 hours increments. But regardless of what the additional price points are, payment for parking is required, we do not have or encourage a policy wherein customers can opt out of payment because they dont agree with the rate structure of the initial or additional increments.

The wording on the notice received seems immaterial,as the customers own admission notes they were overtime, whether the verbiage notes non-payment or excess of paid time or some other such phrase, the point remains that it was issued correctly to a vehicle that was on the lot for time unpaid for.

The customer seems like they were aware of the time that they parked, I do not feel having to independently set a timer or note the expiration time of 2 hours from that point to be an excessive burden on the customer (and as the customer ********************** representative noted, there are alternatives where downloading one of the apps and using that will give the customer more automated reminders should they desire that).

While I do think the customer ********************** representatives decision to reduce the notice to time due + fees was appropriate, as a courtesy I have gone ahead and voided the customers notice.

      Thank you!

Deceptive business practice. Have parked at Diamond SLC Airport parking for years, participating in their loyalty rewards program. Currently have 1166 points (equivalent to 5.83 days of Covered VIP Parking) and had planned to use all or majority of points end of this year for a planned vacation. Received email on 4/23/24 that Diamond is ending their rewards program, and being forced to use or lose all points by 5/31/24 or only giving $10 per ****************************** monthly Storage fees which many customers like myself have no need of and without any existing vacations planned for *** will be forced to forfeit all value with little notice. All customers I know or work with who park with Diamond, and I would suspect majority of customers would not live close by ********************** Airport location or have reasonable need for a monthly or longer term storage unit as stays are used and advertised for Airport parking, thus losing value of 5.83 days of airport parking rewards when large majority of customers like myself do not fly every month for personal travel within the 1 month of notice given to use or lose. I understand a business discontinuing a rewards program, and changing business model from Airport Parking to Storage units, but a rewards program they know customers use multiple times a year is likely but not as often as within every 30 day period to forfeit all value of rewards I consider deceptive. I considered the value of the rewards stays when I have made previous decision to do business with Diamond Parking *********** Parking with the value of using future rewards for future stays.Reasonable resolution: Extend rewards points to be honored through 12/31/2024, if Airport Shuttle will continue to be operating with regular intervals for pickup, or refund the value of 5.83 days value at Covered VIP Parking value that was planning to use near the end of the year.

Diamond Airport Parking will be no longer offering daily offsite airport parking as of 6/1/24,  Our shuttle services to the airport will cease at this time as well. Because of this, we are unable to provide any sort of daily parking options for this customer if their dates of travel begin on or after 6/1/24.  We appreciate the customers support and business over the years and would suggest that they look to another parking operator for their future parking needs.

Reference #********** I parked at a Diamond lot in ************ on April 18, 2024. I paid my parking fee of $2.50 on my ***** When I got back to my car there was a ticket on my car for $65.50 for No Advanced Payment. I was sure I had made an advance payment and checked my online banking and there was a payment on my **** for that day to Diamond Parking. I appealed for the ticket with Diamond via email and sent written evidence from **** of America showing the payment of $2.50 to Diamond on April 18. The appeal was denied because we are unable to find any record of payment. You went on the say that the payment of $65.50 was due now and failure to pay would result in a non-waivable late fee. I paid the $65.50 but I request a refund for this amount. I believe that I am entitled to a refund because whether or not you can locate my payment in your records I DID INDEED PAY FOR MY PARKING IN ADVANCE. Thank you.

Last week, I parked in a parking lot that was for ******* customers only. I received a ticket when I came out from ******* simply looking for a product that I could not find. The ticket said that I parked there and walked off to somewhere else, which is not true at all whatsoever. I walked to grab my friend for maybe 3-5 minutes and then went in to *******. When I went to dispute this, they automatically ignored what I said and said I had no proof of going into *******. I didnt buy anything because I couldnt find what I needed, and I dont think I need proof that I went into a store. Either way, the person who issues the ticket does not have any proof of me walking off into another store/building because I did not. When I wrote them an email regarding this, obviously upset, they said nothing except for thanks for your email, we will note your comments under your license plate and reference number. Im not sure if thats a threat to make me pay or something but I think thats very unprofessional to ignore what I said. This whole ordeal is just annoying and a hassle to deal with, especially when I just had surgery.

We went to the plaza and checking dental and business/restaurant around. We are astonished to get a ticket (REF:1005997846). Does that mean anybody can enforce an arbitrary ticket in their preference? They are trying to collect $66.5 dollars for no reasons. Please help me to void it. Thanks!

I have gotten 4 tickets to Diamond Parking that were unfairly given to me and when I tried contacting them to do something about it I could not get a hold of them. 2 of these tickets were given to me when I had gone to my haircut place where there was "complimentary parking" for two hours which I though mean I could just park my vehicle and I would be good but I came back to my car having a parking ticket twice. The other two I had parked for a very short amount of time to pack things into my car to bring them back from my college back to home and within this short period of time I had gotten a ticket. With all of these tickets I have tried to complain or fix them with the company but all I have gotten has been placed on hold and no communication what so ever from the company. I would like these tickets to be voided as this company takes advantage of misleading information about their lot spots and makes it as difficult as possible when trying to contact them for help.

We parked in a lot in downtown ***** on 12/29 and despite paying the parking fee online, received a parking ticket. Note: every single car in the parking lot around us received a ticket as well. I immediately emailed the company stating that I received a ticket in error, including a screenshot of the remaining time on my paid parking. That email received no response, I have sent two follow-up emails and have received no correspondence from the company until today when I got a notice of my ticket being sent to collections for non payment. This is a frequent occurrence with Diamond Parking in ***** where they ticket you regardless of if you've paid. I have had this happen twice in the past and luckily got a response when emailing and they were able to cancel my ticket for those instances.

On 4/5/24, I paid for 7 hours of parking at this Diamond parking lot to get me through 5pm ish, and when I realized I would not be finishing work in time to get it, paid for an additional 2 hours tacked on to the time allotment (that receipt is attached, note the expiration at 6:52pm). I planned to move my vehicle to the 7pm onward free parking, so did not see reason to pay for longer. I left my desk at 6:45pm, when my phone alarm went off, to go move my vehicle. From across the intersection at a red walk sign, I saw the parking enforcer (at 6:51 at this point) already prepping the notice. By 6:54, when I walked up to the vehicle, I was being completely ignored, and they had already left a $46.50 (!!!) ticket timed at 6:53pm! Note the checker also did not leave their identification on the notice. I am absolutely horrified that I paid (in total) $26.29 for 9 hours of parking, and an enforcer was already typing out a parking notice BEFORE the expiration, and furthermore, that a fine of $46.50 is somehow reasonable for exactly ONE documented minute! I'm hoping this notice will be dismissed, as by 6:55pm, I was pulling out of the lot with the notice in my hand. I was, and am, still shocked by this, hence how much I paid attention to the exact times and wrote them down! The notice reference # is **********. This is a completely unreasonable way to conduct business, most especially when my coworker and I were actively trying to get the attention of the enforcer from across the street, within view, PRIOR to the expiration, and we were completely ignored. Let alone the exorbitant cost of a notice "issued" less than 60 seconds after (remember, they were typing it out before expiration!!)!

On April 16, 2024 I pulled into the ************************************ area to park my car as the ************************************************** parking lots were full. I believed I was parking in a mall as we do often at ***********, ************ and *****************. I saw no signs that it was a private parking lot and payment was required. The next day I discovered a Payment Notice issued by Parking Diamond Service for $83.15 tucked under a windshield wiper. I noticed there is no officer number to indicate who issued the notice but under comments and photos on file it is clear that someone was watching me as I walked away from the parking area. This was very disturbing to me as I felt someone was stalking me. The $83.15 amount if paid within 10 days, otherwise $120.00 seem outrageous compared to much lower city parking tickets. As a result, I contacted the company on the back of the notice with the intent to certainly pay for what I owed for parking there but was met by a rude, dismissive attendant who said No one can change that and your only option is to pay what the notice requires. At that point, I asked if I could speak to someone in management and again he stated, No one can change the ticket and theres no point calling anyone else. When I insisted that I wanted to speak to a manager, he said This call is over and he hung up. I proceeded to call back several times but each time the phone was picked up and hung up immediately. A few minutes later, I called the same number but put in a code to a different department. The lady who answered the phone said that she would transfer my call to someone in management and that I could leave a message if the person wasnt there, which I did. 5 hours have passed, and I have yet to receive a call back. Researching Parking Diamond, I have learned that this company does not have BBB accreditation and the word scam seems to be permeate a lot of the complaints from customers. I am willing to pay what is fair for an hour of parking.

      Hello,

Please note that this lot is Private Property and as per the signage on the property you are not permitted to leave your vehicle parked here and leave to go elsewhere.  Doing so will result in ticketing and/or towing.  In this case the patroller noted the occupant leaving the lot to go to the clinic, which is not permitted, as the clinic has parking for their customers.  When the customer called our General Information line they were given instructions on how to appeal your notice online. This is also stated on the back of the notice (All appeals must be done in writing).  The agents the customer was directed to were not the individuals who are authorized to handle parking ticket disputes over the phone.  It is noted and recorded that the customer called numerous times insisting that the ticket be cancelled.  If the customer has documentation showing that business was conducted at ************* we would be happy to review this for them.

      Hello,

Our goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued, find a resolution and to prevent it from happening again in the future.
Please note that this facility is Private Property and one of the terms and conditions on the signage posted is to not leave the property without their vehicle.  Doing so will result in ticketing and/or towing.  In this case, the officer witnessed and noted the occupant leaving the parking lot to go to a neighboring clinic, which does have their own parking and is prohibited per these terms and conditions.  When calling into the General Information line, instructions would be given on how to dispute a notice online. It is also stated on the back of the notice, that all appeals must be done in writing. The agents are there to offer Customer **********************/General Information and assistance for online disputes.  They do not handle parking notices or conclude directly over the phone as there is a formal process in place to properly document cases. It was noted and recorded that repeated calls were placed from this number insisting the ticket is cancelled.  If documentation is available showing business was conducted at *************, it can be submitted to me directly at *************************************** and I will happily review.  Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:

We do not dispute the facts that:
      a)this lot is Private Property
b)that there is signage with pertinent information.
We also agree that we were given instructions via phone on how to appeal on line and that the process is stated on the back of the notice as well.
What we contend is that given that we are not familiar with this location (we live on the other side of the city), given that weather conditions (blowing rain/snow) made it impossible to see let alone read the signage and given that the mall we frequent has only free public parking, we never considered looking for pay stations.
What is not accurate in the businesss statement is the claim that we asked the agent to simply cancel the fine.  We instead asked to speak to a manager or supervisor.  The agent was adamant that we were not going to get past him.  We called a second time.  Every subsequent call received a quick hang up with no word spoken.  So to say insisting that the ticket be cancelled. is simply not true.
Given all of the above, we are suggesting that this situation can reasonably be resolved by having the business charge us a fee corresponding to one hour of parking at this location as we never intended to be opportunistic and purposely take advantage of a private parking facility.
Please note: We would have never ended up at this location had we been able to find a parking spot at the **************************************************.  It was imperative to park and enter the hospital promptly as we had an important medical appointment which we could not afford to miss.

      Sincerely,

In consideration of the circumstances and our obligations,as one time courtesy, we have reduced the notice to $45.  This will hold on the account until the end of business day May 16th.
