On March 21st, 2023, we parked in the Diamond Parking Lot at **** 1st. Ave. next to Pike Market at approximately 12:10pm. The man in the lot had us pay him (our mistake to pay him and not at the kiosk). He proceeded to take pictures of our car in the spot he put us in, and told us we won't need a parking ticket because he took care of it. We watched him go to the kiosk and looked like he was adding our payment. Imagine our surprise that a ticket with a fine was on our window when we returned from lunch - that was time stamped at 12:16 - 6 minutes after this man took our money. This ticket also has the picture of our license plate that we watched him take. We are now being forced to pay an additional $65 dollars in what truly feels like entrapment and fraud on the part of this business. My husband did put this additional fee in the mail so they wouldn't slap additional charges and possibly go after our credit score.

On March 20, 2023 I parked at lot A138 - ********************************* I tried to pay for parking with a credit card which I used earlier that day with no problem. It was denied. I tried a different credit card. It was denied. I made a quick trip to NW *********** and used the first credit card with no problem. It was not denied. Therefore, the parking machine was not working properly. I returned to find a parking ticket for $65.50 - approximately 13 times the amount I tried to pay but was unable to. The ticket says that if I don't pay w/in 15 days the fine will increase to $102. I emailed ************************************************* asking them to reduce the fee to the original amount I tried to pay at the broken machine. I've not heard anything back yet. The ticket reference # is **********. I find it suspicious that I was gone such a short time and received a ticket. Someone must have been watching me - knowing the machine wasn't working and eager to give me a ticket rather than fix the machine.

We are in receipt of your BBB complaint # ******** and apologize for the frustration with the issues you faced while trying to pay for your parking, and with receiving the notice youre appealing.   This lot does have other ways to pay outside of the machine that you had difficulty with. Those options are online and called Pay by Phone and Call to Park. Information is posted at the lot for each of these options.
As a one-time courtesy, we have reduced the amount of this notice to the lowest acceptable payoff amount. Your notice fee due is $9.00 in total, including taxes and fees.

This is in regard to Diamond Parking inappropriately ticketing parked cars. On multiple occasions, I have received parking tickets despite the fact that I had PAID for the parking. The most recent examples were on 3/11 and 3/18. I have receipts that show I had paid for parking and yet they still ticketed me. I have had to get in touch with them to cancel the 3/11 ticket, which they did...but now I have to yet again, take time out of my day to have them resolve the 3/18 ticket. These are not the only offenses, they have done this about 1/2 dozen times to me and others. This is the first time I?m reporting this because enough is enough with the false ticketing. I am starting to think this is a racket in hopes that people will forget and just pay for it.

I parked at the Diamond Parking Services 655 ******** (the ***********) on Friday evening Mar 10th, 2023 at 6:56 pm.I went to the meter on Level 1 and paid for 3 hours of parking using Pay By Phone App using the lot code displayed on the meter and upon my return hours later had a ticket on my window from 9:41 PM which was within the paid for time period. I was puzzled as I paid for the parking and then determined that the code on the elevator lobby parking meter at 655 ******** is incorrect, it is **** which is actually for a different lot (also managed by Diamond Parking). I appealed and provided image evidence of the mislabeled parking meter and was denied outright, saying that they cannot transfer the funds from the other lot, with no mention that they are going to fix their incorrect signage. A more reasonable response would have been to reduce the ticket to the cost of 3 hours parking and promise to correct the mislabeled meter so no one else has the same problem. The code on the meter for Pay By Phone should be ****. This was a terrible experience, I will avoid using any lots managed by DPS in the future, they are not a reasonable organization to deal with.DPS Ticket: ********

      Hi,

It seems someone has peeled off a sticker on the meter semi-revealing an older location.  Thank you for bringing this to our attention.  We will have this rectified.  For future awareness, please note the locations numbers on the screen of the meter and on the signs beside the meter (picture attached).  This ticket is voided as a one-time courtesy.   Thank you!

On 3/9/23 I parked my truck in the middle of a pay to park lot run by Diamond Parking at **************************** ******* **********. I paid for 24hrs of parking and after emptying my truck and locking it I went to my hotel. The next morning at 9am I realize my truck is not in the lot. I called the tow number listed and was told they didn't have my truck and that was it. No help offered, no offer to check if there were cameras with footage, not even a compensated ticket for the fact that my truck was stolen from the middle of their property. I would strongly advise anyone you care about to not park in any lot operated by Diamond Parking as you are likely to lose it all, and then be disregarded by a company that doesn't care.

I am rejecting this response because: I have a picture that I will attach that is in fact posted at the address I parked at showing that this Diamond lot is indeed serviced by ****'s towing.  Reference attached picture, my truck had the license number 315 LKJ, and was parked there on a 24hr pass paid for at the pay terminal at the edge of the parking lot on Friday
March 11th around 2-3pm.  Perhaps this sign is out of date? In which case, you have a lot currently posted with incorrect contact information which is worrying ESPECIALLY in an instance where a customer needs to reach out to your company in an emergency.  I would accept a full refund of my 24hr ticket which cost $38.43 and was ran on a US ********* card with the last four digits being **** and a card name of ***************************************.

I received a parking ticket at the Calvary ****** lot in ********* the night of 2/25/23 which I admit was my fault. However; when I tried to pay the citation on the Diamond Parking website I was shocked to see 3 separate citations all charging $65.50 for the same evening. The photos uploaded by the checker have timestamps that are only a few minutes apart. Some of those pictures are even identical on supposedly separate tickets. The only ticket placed on my windshield was reference # **********, yet their website shows 2 other reference #'s for tickets I never saw or received & their supporting evidence is obviously from the same checker (*******) on the same night, just moments apart. It must be some kind of mistake. The following numbers are the duplicated citations:1005290732 ********** I have opened a dispute case with all 3 tickets & tried to call customer ********************** with no response to either avenue. All 3 tickets will get a late penalty of an additional $30 dollars after 15 days. I don't mind paying the initial $65.50 but the total charges will balloon to almost $300 if this is issue is not resolved in a timely manner. I should not have to pay for the same violation 3 times over.

I parked my car in the **************************************************** on 85th in ******* **. This is not a "for pay" parking lot and no signs regarding parking are posted, at least not any that are readily visible, I've never seen one if there is is. I went into the grocery store, made a purchase and came out to find a Diamond Parking fine tucked under my wiper stating that my car was "unauthorized" and that I had "walked off" the lot. The fine on the ticket amounts to nearly $100. Naturally I went back into the store to to show them the receipt from my purchase and inquire about exactly why I received a parking ticket but got no explanation whatsoever from the 20 year old employee stationed behind the customer ********************** desk. He gave me a blank form to fill in my name and phone number and told me that it "might be dismissed" but I went away with zero confidence that would happen. I have had several problems of a similar nature with Diamond Parking over the past several decades, e.g. I paid for a parking slot, they ticketed me claiming that I did not, I was ticketed, fined, paid the fine but the payment took several weeks "to process" after which time they then claimed I was "late in making the payment" and the matter was sent to a collection agency. One time they booted my tire when I paid for all day, got to my car after work, had to call somebody, wait for an hour for a guy to come charge me a second time for all day parking, then a fine, and then a fee to remove the boot from my wheel otherwise my car gets towed and I am then liable for towing fees, impound fees, more late payment fees, storage fees, etc. you get the drift. Another time I paid for 2 months in advance, still got ticketed. Diamond Parking uses PREDATORY TACTICS. They have for decades. If I recall correctly they have run into problems from the city for such business practices. Even when you pay them for parking they find a way to charge you again and again, blatantly and apologetically. This company has to be stopped.

To Whom It May ********** March 3rd, I received a parking ticket when my partner and I came back to our car after dinner. We were shocked as we made sure to pay for parking after we parked our vehicle. When my partner and I stepped out of the car, we thought the pay meter was at the staircase. After going up the staircase, we were still not able to find the parking meter. Hence, we walked into ************* to ask the staff with regards to payment method. The staff member inside ******* told us there is a parking meter on P3/P4. Therefore, my partner and I walked back down the ramp into the parkade but noticed that there is a pay by phone option. Hence, my partner paid for our parking on her phone and I have attached the receipt to this email as well. As noted on our parking receipt, the receipt was issued @ 6:21 PM on March 3rd, 2023. Unfortunately, our parking ticket was issued to us during the time we were looking to pay for our parking spot. I hope this clarifies the misunderstanding as my partner and I always pay for parking when we are in private lots. If can you can help me void my parking ticket, that would be greatly appreciated. I've already submitted everything to appeal for my parking ticket but I thought I'd send you an email as well. I look forward to hearing from you! Parking Reference #: ********. I've attached the payment notice on file as well. Regards,****

On March 1, 2023 I parked in Diamond lot WB115 and paid $21 for ten hours of parking using the ** Code on posted sign as instructed by lot attendant. I have a screenshot of my payment and my parking pass number. The license plate number on the notice is clearly the number I used on the website to prepay.
