According to consumer allegations, American Dealer License, Inc.
helps individuals whom operate outside of Washington State obtain their
wholesale dealer’s license from Washington State. Complaints claim that
American Dealer License, Inc. has set up ghost business locations in rural
areas of Washington State in order to meet the minimum requirements for a
wholesale dealer license and that numerous business entities share the same
address in order to meet these licensing requirements. In addition to
renting office space, American Dealer License, Inc. allegedly charges
individuals for assistance in obtaining state and local business registrations,
insurance, bonds, wholesale dealer applications, consulting services and all
associated fees in order to meet the Washington State requirements for a
wholesale dealer license. Complaints allege there are no guarantees a
license will be granted or that promised time frames for licensing will be met,
nor are refunds offered if licensing cannot be secured. On December 5,
2016, BBB sent an email to the business asking for more information on its’ business
practices. To date, BBB has not received a response.
On
December 13, 2016, BBB was informed that the Washington State legislature has
recently changed their wholesale dealer requirements. These requirements can be
found at http://www.dol.wa.gov/business/vehiclevesseldealer/dlrwholesaler.html and may make it more difficult for out of state operators to obtain their
wholesale dealer license in Washington State.
