I have been attempting to settle a debt with Rausch Sturm. The agreement made by phone was that I would pay a certain amount after I received a letter or email from Rausch Sturm stating that the agreed amount was accepted as payment in full. I never received this, and I never received debt validation showing how the balance was even calculated. It looks like I am not alone.Business Response

A Garnishment/**** was placed on my Bank Accounts the end of September 2022 and the full amount that was owed to the creditor was paid in full. November 2022 the account still didn't show it was paid. I contacted support and was told that the courts had not released the money. The court stated that the company garnishing had to request the funds from my Bank. I again contacted the compy and was told the would talk to their legal department. I didn't hear back from anyone. December 2022 the sent another garnishment/**** for the same account this time additional fees were added. Contacted my Bank and they said that the creditor had not request the funds from October and that I needed to contact the garnisher again. I have done so and have yet to get a resolution. They are trying g to get paid twice for the same account plus additional interest.Business Response

I was served court papers on a garnishment. It was on a unsecured credit card that was paid in FULL in a bankruptcy. The bankruptcy has been going in for over two years, this debt was one of the first things paid in the bankruptcy. I have been in contact with this debt collector for weeks now. I have emailed a case number on the bankruptcy. Showing it has been paid in full. I have emailed an actual adobe pdf on the ACTUAL summary of ALL that was paid in full in the bankruptcy. These people have done NOTHING to resolve this issue. Today was my first garnishment on my paycheck. AGAIN on an account that was paid in full! I am an inhome caregiver! I dont make much money, but I love my job. This is an garnishment that should have NEVER happened. I HAVE RELENTLESSLY TRIED TO BE CIVIL AND RESOLVE THIS with this company. THEY DO NOT REACH OUT WITH ANY RESOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE! I HAVE GOTTEN LITERALLY NO WHERE ON THIS.Business Response

These people keep harassing me about an account I know nothing about and now threatening to steal money from my bank account (that I had since closed because of them). Clearly these people are confused or obviously I had identity theft occur. Default judgment has already been made in court without my knowledge. Never received anything about going to court or getting sued. However I did receive a letter stating they plan to steal my money. Shady business practice.Business Response

This company has continued to harrass me about an account that is closed. I have a new account with the same company that I am paying on and is currently active. I cannot afford to pay on an old account and I do not think it is fair that this company continues to harrass me and send letters while I am paying on the same account with the same business. I would appreciate if they did not threaten me with court papers etc. for a old account , instead why not add the amount to my current account for the same company. I CANNOT PAY ON BOTH OLD ACCOUNTS AND NEW ACCOUNTS, THERE NEED TO BE A RESOLUTION TO THE OLD ACCOUNT BESIDES HARRASSING ME VIA LETTERS AND PHONE CALLS.Business Response

I was on a payment plan and paid monthly up to 2019. Payments stopped due to life circumstances. I received an unsigned pre-post judgement. I tried to resume payments, but Rausch Sturm advised it's in receivership and will need to seek approval from ****************************. I spoke with the receivership attorney and they can't locate the file. It's a game for Rausch Sturm and someone needs to file a class action lawsuit against this company. They're tampering with individuals lives and bankrupting households. I WILL NOT continue to be bullied by this office. COVID affected many households, but for some reason Rausch Sturm has taken this recession lightly.Business Response

I was the victim of ID theft back in 2017 - I thought everything was taken care of until my check started being garnished (almost 1/2)! When I contacted my payroll department, they gave me this company's contact information. I decided to pay the full amount (~*****) to prevent my checks from being garnished but they won't stop garnishing my check. I have tried calling several times without success. The Rausch Sturm I was in contact with is the one located in *******. I could not take legal action because of I was told it already had a judgement on it. I just need my full check and don't know what to do. I need a refund of the garnishments that were taken ($1,838.79). I tried to get an account number but was also unsuccesful.Since I was talking to the lawyer for ***'s Club, they wouldn't help me so I'm stuck.Business Response

In September of 2022 I was notified that a garnishment was scheduled for my next paycheck unless I took care of a debt to Rausch Sturm. I immediately (the same day) paid off the debt through a moneygram to Rausch Sturm and got confirmation that all was well. The next paycheck I received was short the garnished amount and I immediately (that day) contacted Rausch Sturm about the over-payment. I was told the money would be refunded to me shortly. I waited a week and called again and was told the money would be returned to my employer. The next week, when I called again, I was told they didn't know what would happen. I have called Rausch Sturm every week and gotten the runaround and have not yet seen the refund. For the past 2 weeks, I have called every day only to be told they are having computer problems and cannot access my account at all.Business Response
