Recently went to court over a debt owed. I took that court proceeding to mediation and it was agreed upon with the courts what I would pay and so I had previously made 2 payments they could not find, but somehow find after court. So I receive a letter that I don't have to pay the whole agreed amount just the amount missing and I can pay that online. So I did in March. Then I make the April payment online. So I keep checking my bank account and of course, nothing is coming out so I go to their site. Remind you I have confirmation numbers that its paid. Yesterday April 27 shows that and the March payment were paid. Go on today and $ has been returned. So I call them and I get the response of after explaining. Well I would mail a money order obviously the bank is sending it back because it does not recognize it. Umm its out of the same account I just called my bank and all the numbers are correct. My guess is that your firm is the red flag since my bank has no evidence that these payments were ever taken from my bank account. The lady at the bank said something is up. So now I'm back to where I started when we went to court negative because you said you took the money and then show giving it back! Obviously you don't want money and you want people to be in debt. Not friendly at all, and they wonder why people get angry with them. Showing some politeness and respect outside of a court room(where its required) might just get you somewhere. Being rude and making people go into debt because you claim the bank is returning it when they have no recognition of it all but the proof is on your site will honestly get you nowhere. Very bad business model. Curious how much did you pay the original creditor for the debt? Good bet it was nothing to a few bucks! Us as a society need to get together and stop these companies that only make us look bad when we make the effort and we get treated like c*** in return!

Seems I'm not alone in my experience with this group. They placed a bank levy on my only bank account and went on spring break. I contacted my bank garnishment department which informed me I had to contact Rausch Strum, LLP to take care of the matter and settle the debt. I contacted them right away and was immediately told that my bank is wrong, and I need to talk to them. Major run around from every single person I've spoken with and the conclusion from everyone is "too bad so sad for me." Never mind that I'm the sole provider for a disabled child. Never mind that I can't even get $1.00 of my own money out of my account for up to 20 days. They aren't required to serve or notify me of the garnishment on my account, but they've failed to contact me since 2021. I feel this is an intentional failure on their part to resolve the debt before it got to this level, but I definitely failed myself by letting it fall off my radar. Don't make the same mistake this place is awful.

I paid my debt off in full in August of this year, I called after my paycheck was still being garnished and I was informed that it would take 45 days for the paperwork to be processed. It is now 78 days, almost double the time I was told it would take and my paycheck is being garnished. This is the worst collections company I have ever dealt with.

Our company serves civil process papers for Rausch Sturm and have done so for the past several years. For the past two years we have had to contact them every couple of months to receive payment for our services. We have attempted to contact them by fax, phone and mail and have received NO response. They now owe us for six months of fees and we have not received payment. Ironic for a firm that does debt collection work.
