I bought a used tractor which Union Trailer and Power Equipment in Chippewa Falls, WI had on their website as the “Featured Tractor.” A week later, I discovered a very serious pre-existing problem. I contacted the dealership and they refused to offer any help.... The website listing said “freshly serviced.” But when I picked it up, the salesman told me that Union Equipment did not service it. Since I did not know when the tractor was last serviced, I took it to a local dealership for service. The mechanic found water in the oil. He then discovered the cause was a plug on the side of the engine came out allowing rain/snow to get in. The plug was in an impossible place to see. The mechanic had to use a flashlight and mirror to show me it. Due to this location, the frame had to come off, for the plug to be reinstalled. He stated it was very labor intensive and could cost $1,000.00. I told the mechanic not to do anything. I then immediately called Union Trailer and Power Equipment and informed them of the problem. I was not expecting them to pay the repair cost. I was expecting them to offer to have their mechanics look at it. But the Sales Manager said they would not offer me any help. Nothing!! He claimed they lost money on the sale and would not lose any more. I cannot prove they knew the problem existed. But I find it suspicious they would say it’s been “freshly serviced” when they did not do it. I also find it suspicious that they would lose money on a sale. This is not a good business strategy. It is also not a good business strategy to turn your back on a customer who just gave you $18,000 a week ago. I believe your reputation means a lot and Union Trailer and Power Equipment has proven not to help a customer after they have your money. I learned this the hard way and want to warn everyone. Please learn from my mistake. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM UNION TRAILER AND POWER EQUIPMENT!!

****************, I am sorry for the experience you have had but I can tell you that at anytime we/Union Trailer started and ran that tractor it ran perfect for ** so not indicating any problems with this unit at all. As far as you purchasing this unit from Union Trailer you actually did not. We had the tractor placed on an online auction thru a company called Auction Time and you purchased it thru them. The tractor was placed on the auction with plenty of time for any interested party to come and run, drive and inspect it before deciding to bid on the unit. That information is stated with Auction Time along with information of it being sold as is where is. If we would have known there was a problem one of two things would have happened either it would have been fixed or it would have been noted for the buyer but like I said this unit never indicated any problems. Not that we need to disclose if we make money or if we have lost money on this sale or any other sale we did lose money on this and that is our choice by placing that unit on Auction Time .
