    ******* Ace Hardware did almost $400. worth on my lawn tractor in March of 2024. This year being retired and living on a pension, I decided to do he tune up and other work myself. Changing the oil and filter was no problem. However, I was unable to remove the blades on the lawn tractor. The next day ******* picked up the tractor. ***** called me and said the machine had no oil in it and was leaking gas. This was actually two lies. During the phone call there was no swearing and threats on my part. ***** stated "why are you picking on me?" Is this the playground at recess? I told him to replace the blades and sharpen the extra set. He then hung up the phone. The tractor was returned and I wrote a check for $95.29 on May 15, 2025. I then showed the driver that there was indeed oil on the dipstick. I also started the tractor and there was no leaking gas anywhere. I even showed the driver where the tractor is parked in the garage. There were no fuel stains. I believe ***** was lying to make more money. I would complain to the BBB but they are not a member. A call to Ace Hardware corporate headquarters was utterly useless. I will never do business with this store again. I strongly suggest you do the same.

    This hardware store is fine for small items. However, be very careful with respect to small engine repair or purchasing gently used small engine items such as snowblowers or lawnmowers. I found the owner to be dishonest and very defensive when i had issues with my machines after pick up. Furthermore, what was promised was not delivered and when i brought that to his attention he was argumentative and very unprofessionalism. For those reasons I no longer shop there.
