    I hired Finest Fencing to remove a old fence and put a new one up. The Fence was Installed on 1 1/13/23 for $3050.00 cash. It is too high from the ground in the front (the dog keeps getting out, this was noticed in Jan.) it also opens on the wrong side. Finest Fencing/***************** refuses to come correct it he says "it's a 5 minute job and he can't come 105 miles to fix it). Finest Fencing/***************** contacted me 11/29/23 about the interior paint job (entire house). I no longer wanted to do it due to all of the smoke on the walls for over a year. 12/11/23 Finest Fencing/***************** came and assessed my home before he started the job. Originally $1500.00 until I found some damaged items and he was paid $1000.00 cash on 12/15/23 and he agreed. They were to return on 12/18/23 to complete the job (touchup and areas he never painted) they never returned. I contacted him. He stated "he has to charge me more for the extra days and gas because he thought it would take 2 days to complete the job" BUT he assessed the job before starting it. Finest Fencing/***************** has not tried to resolve the issues instead lied to DATCP saying he has a medical issue & couldn't be around smoke BUT smoked a vape pen all day & smoked marijuana everyday before the job. DATCP wouldn't assist me because of the lies. . I have a paint job 1/2 done upstairs, furniture damaged where wet towels/rags with Dirtex sat on the *************** which made holes when it dried & paint on them, lots of clothes, 5 leather coats, 2 wool coats, 4 curtains and 2 comforters full of paint, a 7ft bookcase n 4 blinds broken, I need unfinished walls completed, hard wood floors needs to be stained due to towels w/Dirtex used to clean the floors. The damaged items were not found until I was going room by room putting my items back in order. I filed a complaint with DATCP as instructed. They couldn't assist due to the lies told by Finest Fencing/***************** also DATCP is only a mediator (I didn't know until after the fact).

    Yes I will agree to a refund.  It will be sufficient to cover some of the damages if it is a reasonable amount.

    Per ******************** complaint, please see the attached letter submitted by Finest Fencing to the ***** The **** chose not to purse the matter further with Finest Fencing, LLC because **************** did not tell the **** that Finest Fencing had already paid her $500 in damages, per ******************** agreement, AFter the **** dismissed her complaint, **************** realized that Finest Fencing noticed that she had omitted the $500, so she has updated her total to show this $500 in her new complaint to BBB.  This is the only update to the attached letter. 

    Finest Fencing LLC maintains that we have already attempted to work with ****************, and our position remains the same as in the attached letter to the *****

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

    Finest Fencing DID NOT give me $500.00.  As I stated in my original complaint I deducted $500.00 from the payment during the conversation I had with ***************** after I discovered they had destroyed a $900.00 Leather coat and a 7ft bookcase.  That was before I noticed all of the other damage to my house and belongings.  Finest Fencing is lying yet again!  

     

    So no, Finest Fencing DID NOT give me $500.00 I deducted it from their pay and ***************** agreed this was before they were to complete the rest of the work.  Again this was before the discovery of all of the other damages.

     

    That has nothing to do with the floors, walls, incomplete paint job, damaged furniture and other items I listed in my original comp!aint.
