MN Dept of Labor and Industry v Johnson Homes of WI LLC
The Licensing Order issued to Respondents on September 27, 2024 is vacated; The
residential building contractor license of Respondent Johnson Homes of WI LLC, No. BC650375, and the
qualifying builder registration of Respondent Kenneth J. Brtek, No. QB650174, are suspended until such
time Respondents provide verifiable proof that all civil judgments and tax obligations have been
satisfied or otherwise resolved; During the suspension of Respondents’ license and registration,
respondents shall cease and desist from acting or holding themselves out as a residential building
contractor, residential remodeler, or residential roofer in the state of Minnesota; Prior to the
reinstatement of the license and registration respondents shall pay a monetary penalty of $4,000. An
additional $6,000 monetary penalty shall be imposed against respondents; however, the entirety of that
$6,000 monetary penalty shall be stayed with conditions – 11/14/2024
