In August, I took items to the Brookfield Klinke's Dry Cleaners. Included was a *********************** blue suit, purchased at Nordstrom 2 yrs ago on sale for approx. $350. I picked up the cleaning in Sept, but I hung the the bag in the closet and didn't look at the items until last week. Everything was there except, in place of the nice suit, there was a cheap black suit, incorrect size. I have spoken with the manager, the corporate customer service director, and **********************'s corporate owner, ***** Klinke. Their response is that they can't do anything for me, because I can't prove where the black suit came from. This is because there is no Klinke's sticker inside the suit. They just say "all of our processes check out". Their receipt shows the *********************** suit was turned in to them by me, but they refuse to recognize that something else must be wrong with their processes since I still don't have the correct suit. They refuse to consider the possibility of employee theft. The owner refuses to recognize that there may be another internal problem that they haven't identified. I would prefer to have the blue suit back, but since that doesn't seem possible, I would like to be reimbursed $350, which the owner is unwilling to do. Essentially, they are saying that I am lying since I can't prove they gave me the black suit in the bag I picked up from them. I explained that I'm a 68 year old nursing professor and have been a client for 6 years. I'm busy. I don't have time for this, and the suit is needed for an event this weekend. Why would I make this up? We had to spend $500 this weekend to replace it. The owner is basically ignoring my complaint, essentially calling me a liar, and refusing to consider that he has a business problem. The resolution I would like is not a billing adjustment but full reimbursement. There was no similar option listed on the BBB form so I checked the closest similar option. I would also like an ********************* that I am not lying.
