Wilde Honda East Towne contacted us to purchase our 2016 Honda Fit and signed a contracted deal 0n 4-29-23.They paid out the amount owed and took ownership on May 2, 2023.The contract shows this dealership agreed to pay ** $5998.53 upon transfer of title.Per multiple calls to the pre owned sales **** ***** and the pre owned sales mananger, *****, no funds have been mailed, transferred or delivered to ** a stated on the signed appraisal voucher for the agreed upon balance.I have stated per phone calls that I want the owed funds immediately, to be told that the check was mailed out on 5-10-23. *****, the sales rep told me that they have no control over the mail and it not their fault we haven't received the promised funds. I told them I will travel 50 miles to the dealership for a new check to be told that they will need to stop payment on the mailed check and then track the mailed check to verify if it was cashed or not. ***** became belligerent with while on the phone and accused me of abusing him. I never used profanities. or made unreasonable demands of him or the dealership. just stating that they need to immediately pay for the car they had a clear title on as of 5-2-23. This course of events with Wilde Honda East Towne has created a financial and emotional hardship on myself and my wife 0f 50 years, *******. Through the last week we have been given excuse after excuse for this delay of payment owed to ** and have had to be the pursuant of owed funds. no apologies have been expressed on the part of the staff we have dealt with to date.No funds have been paid as of 5-15-23. This smacks of fraud and breach of contract on the part of Wilde Honda East Towne. The 2016 Honda Fit sold to ***** and the dealership does not show on any of the 3 dealer preowned lots per website searches.Customer Answer

I need to update this filed complaint to indicate that after having to travel 110 miles round trip to the dealership, a check for the requested balance was presented to me by ***** at Wilde Honda East Towne on 5-16-23.I also insisted on gas funds which was provided for the amount of $24.00.I returned ******* call this AM before my trip to procure my check to be informed the check was sent to ********* and then back to ******* then supposedly to be mailed to my address. This mailing process was a "revelation" to their sales **** ****** Again, another excuse for their decision to mail $6K by general mail, not registered mail. I will destroy any check that arrives in my mail (if it was actually sent, since they supposedly stopped payment on it prior to my being tendered a check in person today).I consider the matter closed but would like to edit my filed complaint as soon as possible and leave it on file to warn off other potential customers of their obscure, practiced manipulations they risk facing when doing business with Wilde Honda. Please advise me as to how to edit and retain my files complaint.Thank you for your kind assistance.Customer Answer

I submitted the complaint below and was told that the problem would be taken care of if I kindly rescind this. I did but Honda has not honored their agreement. I was told the person who agreed to this is no longer working here so there's nothing for me to do. They will not fix it. So now I have to file another complaint. This time I will not let this go. I will not rescind this complaint.***I had my 2016 Honda HRV towed to Wilde Honda East on Sept 7th, 2022 because water entered through the moon roof during a storm and soaked the electronics, making it not start. Sept 9th I got a call with an estimate that I okayed but the part needed was on backorder. On Oct 10th I got a call saying the part was in and that I had a bill of $1,430.22 and I paid it. That same day I left the country and asked my brother to pick up the car which he did the next week. When he picked up the car he noticed there was paint missing from the roof and by knowing what happened he guessed someone taped up the moon roof and when they took the tape off the paint came with it. He sent me a few pictures and went to the shop to talk and showed them what happened. On Nov 16th my brother followed up with an email. Nov 18th he got a reply from ************************* stating that Honda would cover 50% of the cost. I replied that I insisted that Honda pay for 100% of the cost. I never heard back. Now that I am back in the country I paid ***** a visit. He insists I put the tape on the car even though I have pictures of the car with nothing on top as it's being loaded onto the tow truck. I want Honda to cover 100% of the cost to fix the damage they did. ***Business Response

Hi, *****,
We talked with *****, our previous Service Manager, and he was under the impression you were out of the country and would contact us when you returned. We have also tried contacting you, but your voicemail says it is full. Is there a better number to reach you at? You can also call me (***********************, **************** Manager) at ************ or our new Service Manager, *********************, at ************. **** was going to try emailing you too.
We are not sure who you had talked to to get the misinformation about us not doing it, but we have every intention of making good on our word and addressing this issue, we just need to get in contact with you.
Thank you,
