On March 7, 2012, BBB requested Double Up Promotions provide the following information:




  1. Which charities benefit, or have benefited, from sales of the booklet?

  2. What Wisconsin veterans have personally benefited from the program?

  3. How does Double Up Promotions obtain their proceeds? What is the cost of advertising?

  4. How is the book marketed and sold? To whom and where are the books being sold?

  5. Double Up Promotions states its participants can win a "Funjet Getaway for two to Riviera Maya", how is the winner determined?


BBB sent a follow up request on March 14, after no response from the company.



On March 19, 2012, Brian Michaud, President of Double Up Promotions, sent the BBB an email stating that the company has done nothing wrong. The company further stated that it will be donating proceeds to charities on their own timeline, as defined in its company bylaws. According to Mr. Michaud donations will be made by May 1st of the calendar year. The BBB has been unable to confirm that any donations have been made in 2012. 



Mr. Michaud did not substantiate or provide any further answers to any other questions raised by the BBB.
