Holland Bulbs sends such great quality plants/bulbs and they stand behind their guarantee. I ordered bulbs that did not sprout and Holland Bulbs gave me full credit for my purchase immediately. I have begonias from them that came up robust and healthy and are blooming with the most gorgeous blossoms! I trust them completely to continue supplying quality products! I have placed many orders with Holland Bulb Farms. Some of their bare root plants arrived in good condition, while others arrived rotten. They sent me new specimens for the rotten ones. Some of the bare roots plants grew beautifully, and some of them did not grow at all. They stood by their Grow Guarantee and gave me store credit for the items that did not grow.Holland Bulb Farms

I love Holland Bulb and have had a great overall experience. While some of the things I purchased did not grow, they were also purchased out of season. Although most of what we purchased did. I bought two Blue Mouse ears hostas that rooted greatly and within three weeks were ready to be planted in the ground. They are growing under a Japanese Maple and already flowered THIS YEAR! I also ordered 5 amaryllis bulbs out of season and my only complaint was that they had red-blotch but it was a small price of $12 for some fungicide when I got 5 bulbs for $25 and usually they would be $125. When I contacted cutomer service they were extremely helpful and offered to replace it!!Holland Bulb Farms

Unfortunately shipping and freight fees have increased significantly over the past few years. We have not increased our fees to our customers in over 3 years. We do occasionally offer free shipping or discounted shipping that can be found within our email promotions. Very deeply disappointed that we gave the bulbs a chance to bloom given where we are located and that some of the bulbs that did bloom just finished up (late August). When I reached out to ask about the other bulbs that have not come up yet, it's the standard "sorry but you needed to contact us by June." Very useless and not at all customer focused. Plants don't grow in a timeline everywhere like they used to with climate change and there should be some consideration and empathy for consumers who reach out to you beyond your "by the book" guarantee. Reading below it looks like there are others who are feeling the same. Please strive to do better and listen to your customers!Holland Bulb Farms

Thank you for reaching out to us. I'm so sorry to hear some of the items didn't grow well for you this past season. We do have a 100% Grow Guarantee on bulbs and bare roots for the first growing season. As stated in our Guarantee found on our website and also on the back of the packing slips, for items planted in Fall, we do need to be notified by the end of June the following Spring. By this time, regardless of location, items should have sprouted by the end of June. When needing to investigate why an item may have failed, it is best to do so during the active growing season. For the items planted last Fall, this is Spring. We too are located in a colder climate and items that haven't sprouted by June in our location, likely won't that season. I do apologize but unfortunately since we do state the expiration dates on our website and on the back of all packing slips, we cannot extend that date any further. Thank you,Review fromKatelyn H

I have ordered from holland bulb farms several times over the past few years, mostly bulbs but also perennials including asparagus this year (and it looks great, excited for next year's spears!) and I will continue to order from them. They have good prices, fast shipping, and a guarantee. Bulbs have occasionally been not true-to-type coloring but I haven't reached out to them about that since I didn't mind the color and they came up well, but I have had perennials that didn't survive after receiving and planting them, after a couple months I emailed them and they gave me a credit, so my experiences with customer service have been good!Holland Bulb Farms

Wish I could give minus 1,000 stars. Please, please if you have any doubts about your plants, write, call, or email them right away. Make sure you have a history, or they won't guarantee anything. Their guarantee on plants is a very short period. Plus, they fail to keep "chat" messages. In addition, chat doesn't always work. I reached out to them, and was told, "give them time to grow." Well, when I reached back out, I was told growing season is over. What a waste of money. I was at **** ***** and mentioned this to them, they gave me some plants at a discount. So this year, I purchased my plants online and in store and got great deals. Never will I purchase through Holland Bulbs again. And at that time, I had another order in my basket. Thankfully, I found out how bad their customer service is before I placed that order. The other online bulb companies give you a longer period. And they'll give you at least a replacement of a credit for the next year. Guess they want customers coming back. Holland Bulbs could care less. I highly do not recommend this Company at all. There are better Companies and plants out there. It's a scam in my opinion. Save your money, time, and frustration.Holland Bulb Farms

Thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear you are not satisfied with your experience. After reviewing your order, I do see it was placed in 2023. We do have a Grow Guarantee for the first growing season and do stand behind our products if they fail to grow within that first growing season. Unfortunately it appears you did not each out to us regarding any failures until the Grow Guarantee had expired by 10 months. We do ask that if items fail to grow, we are notified within the first season so we can help identify what may have caused the failure and help find a solution. After the first growing season, it is difficult to investigate further and know for sure what may have caused the items to fail. I do apologize but unfortunately we are not able to extend the Guarantee that long after the expiration date. We hope our customers all read and understand the Grow Guarantee on our website before an order is placed. We also do provide the Grow Guarantee on the back of all the packing slips we ship as another source to review once the items are delivered. For several years, I have ordered daffodils, tulips, crocus, and a Chinese clematis from Holland Bulb Company, and except for the bareroot clematis, everything has grown beautifully. When the clematis didn't grow, they issued a credit, and I used it this year to buy another one and it is doing very well.Holland Bulb Farms

Same as the prior review. I had a peony refunded that didn't even sprout but had to contact twice and it was only $9.In prior years, I had ordered hundreds if not over a thousand bulbs with them. We are high elevation so we can't really assess if something for sure is not going to bloom until July. Nevertheless, and even after sending a photo of a cluster of about 6 purple tulips of which only one bloomed ... I get the same legalese as the last reviewer. Not even an apology. Obviously these people do not want return customers so I will be shopping elsewhere after this. Also this baloney about bulbs don't bloom the first year. Then it's false advertising to show them all in full bloom on your site. And I've had no problem getting other bulbs to bloom first year such as bunch of bags I picked up at *** ********. Just terrible attitude toward customer and not worth saving a little money here if more than half don't bloom or in my case a large number didn't even sprout this year. I found bulbs when I dug up the few that did bloom that never even put foliage.Holland Bulb Farms

They promote their companies 100% guarantee, but it is literally worthless. I ordered/received multiple items, several different items didn't even grow or bloom. Tried to get replacements or a refund, but they stated the guarantee was expired. I ordered in November 2023, received late November. Nothing like a worthless guarantee to ensure customers won't come back.Holland Bulb Farms

Thank you for reaching out to us. I'm sorry you are not satisfied with your experience with our company. We do have a 100% Grow Guarantee on our items for the first growing season and do stand behind the Guarantee. As with most retail stores, our Grow Guarantee does have a date range in which we do need to be notified if items fail to grow since it is valid for just the first season. We do have the dates listed on our website as well as on the back of all of the packing slips included in the box. If we are notified after the dates stated in our Guarantee, it is at that point void. I did find a chat you had with one of our representatives on 7/27/24 regarding items that failed to bloom for you this first season. At that time we did inform you the Grow Guarantee did expire in June of ***************** our Grow Guarantee. Since all items would have grown for you in the early to mid-Spring, the Guarantee cannot be extended unfortunately. It is also normal for items to grow foliage the first season but not bloom the first season. If they did grow foliage, the bulbs were viable and will bloom the second season. With ******'s becoming a bit warmer in most locations, this trend is becoming more common. Again, I do apologize you are not satisfied with your experience. For future reference, we would ask that the Grow Guarantee is reviewed before an order is placed to fully understand the terms of our policies and procedures.
