    After applying for an apartment on line, paying applicable refundable fees, the company ignores requests for a refund of fees. My concern is having to use a credit card to pay the fees now they have my credit card information ad well. I am concerned that this may be a scam because my phone calls and text messages are not returned or answered.

    Hello,

    We received a letter from you in regards to ***********************

    We had been in contact with ***** in regards to her application. We received her application & application fee. The application was ran through **** which does the credit check and they were in line for the apartment, but waiting on *** letter for the dog so there would be no dog fee. The **** is the service we pay to do the credit check. 

    I will send along the transactions where we have had phone calls and text communications between ***** and *** who is the North Freedom property manager in that office. We have everything done online. Once they have seen the apartment and the application is completed and approved the next step is security deposit which holds the unit and the lease can then be sent out. Pro rated rent or rent depending on the time of move in needs to be paid before key pick up can be done.

    In the calls and text you can see we were waiting for the ** to be paid to proceed with the next step. Our office hours are Monday - Friday between Noon and 5pm. So even if someone texts in before that time usually there is no one in the office to respond at that time. We do have an emergency line for emergencies only that responds outside of those hours.
