      Every single time I call the customer service for Master Lock the customer service individuals are extremely rude. I asked for a supervisor many times and I was refused each and every time. This needs to be addressed! I'm beyond upset with this service.

      10 Years ago, I purchased a 4 pack of TSA luggage locks, those have been great. A few weeks ago I purchased 4 more from the same site/listing. The new ones have the same TSA key code, but very different keys, which concerned me. I tool them to the airport and went to a TSA agent; the agent checked them, the news could not be opened by any of the keys he had, the old ones could. I tried calling Masterlock just now to report this and get a replacement set; the told me to return them to the place of purchase in the most "we don't care" attitude possible. My cost of time and gas is going to be higher than the cost of the locks was, but I will return them anyway out of spite and buy a different brand going forward.

      Twice now I have purchased master lockbox to secure real estate and twice now I have been ripped off by master lock company. Each purchase was minimum $50. Both times, changing the combination required the useage of a retool tool and some complex changing of all the numbers to make sure the little arrows were all pointed in one direction and then only the numbers of the new combination changed to go the opposite direction. Then some further directions of setting the new combo, hitting the clear button and then the open lever. After all the hocus pocus, I tried to open the box and retrieve the key and surprise! It was locked and won't open. Further, internet instructions state if there is a serial number, you can take the box back to retailer and have them call Master Lock for instructions on how to open. Upon having Home Depot call Master Lock, they were told the number on the box was not a serial number but a date of manufacture number and to simply throw the box away as they have no way to access it! This seems to be a marketing scam as I have had this happen to me on 2 different occasions where I have had to toss a perfectly good lockbox for lack of a simple, uncomplicated method to change a combination and no customer service to assist. I will never waste another dollar on Master Lock - all they seem to care about it grabbing the purchase price and intentionally not providing customer support to force you to buy another lock.
