0 stars!!! I moved from ** to ** and had United Regions Van Lines pick up my stuff. They sent 6 guys, most of them did not speak English so telling them something was useless. They delivered my stuff and all my furniture was damaged. I am not talking about ***** & scratches, even though there was a ton of those. I am talking about piece of wood taken off my furniture, draws on dressers broken, one nightstand draw had a crack in it. I had corners on furniture smashed in, dvd cabinets with broken locks and one of them the bottom is partially separated from it. A file cabinet that the top is partial not attached, a bookcase that has a chunk taken off of it, a desk that is now in 2 pieces, a grandmother clock that has a piece of wood taken off (they wrapped it and charged me for it.) and many pieces of furniture has big scrapes on it. Scrunched up moving boxes, and several broken totes. When they delivered it, they pack the boxes up in the garage, some piles were a little over a foot from the ceiling, one pile fell over. My husband found random pieces of my clothes just thrown in there. Where is the box or tote they were in?? I am in a brand new house and I have a couple of scrapes in my drywall. There were screws in my draws, and on my floor and no one knows were they came from. They were supose to attach my mirror to my dressers and one mirror never got attached. Some of my furniture was only 2 years old and in perfect condition, now it's garbage!!! I paid $15,000.00 to them!!! Since I paid for a service that they failed to provide they should reimburse me, plus the $500.00 I tipped out. After sending the pictures, their answer is file a claim. The problem is you can only file 1 claim, and it will take me months to go through all the boxes and they only cover up to $10,000.00. I have more damage than that. I am not living with many boxes unpack because now I have no furniture to put them in. Stay away from this company, it has been a nightmare!!!!!!!

This has been a terrible experience. It seems everyone has horror stories about moving companies and their practices. I told this company well over two weeks ago that I would be ready for delivery of my stuff on a certain date. They said they would call me back with a date they got a driver etc. I called back today to see why I haven’t got a delivery date and she proceeded to tell me they have 0-17 days from my requested delivery date to get my furniture to me. I explained the reason I gave so much advance notice for delivery was so it would be there on or close to the date I moved in as I have no way of moving in without my household goods arriving.. I told her I would like them to please deliver this week and she told me they don’t even arrange for a truck until my earliest delivery date. The expectation I had was I gave two weeks notice not so my stuff could sit in storage indefinitely, but to be delivered as close to the date I asked for as possible. I then told her to please change the status to I am ready for dem delivery and she told me I already gave a date and they have been doing business a long time and I don’t know if something will happen before my closing date and then there would be nowhere to deliver my furniture. This is ridiculous excuses and none of their business except to bring my stuff when I needed it with within a few days! Ugh. I would like my things and I have paid for that service. Why must these companies be so rude and uncaring about what the customer needs or has paid a great deal of money to receive?

Avoid at all cost. They are absolutly terrible. We received an initial quote from them for about $16k, which was about $2k less than the next closest quote. I asked the estimator about it, and he said it was because they charged for volume not weight like the major carriers do. Made sense at the time, and many of the online reviews were good. So, we decided to hire them. A few days later the ** department called to make sure the estimate was accurate. They did another video walk through, and revised the estimate slightly form the original. It was still the lowest bid we had. So, we kept them. The driver showed up on moving day and immediatly said it woudl be another $2k because we had odd furniture (chairs with arms) that took up more space. My wife let him go ahead and start loading, and when he finished, he said they needed another $6k not $2k. My wife called our estimator and ** person, but they couldn't help. The driver has the final say, and if we wanted our stuff, we had to pay up. When they showed up on the other end, they demanded another $3k for a "shuttle service", and when they unloaded everything many items were completely destroyed, damaged, or broken. The offered us $200 in compensation for probably $2000 worth of damage. This was after charging us almost $10k more than the original contract. At one point one of the agents said they might give us a refund of some of the difference since they were off so much. We were told later that person had been fired for falsly telling people they might get a partial refund. They do not bill like most movers do, and they will not take a credit card for any of the payments and will only take a check for the deposit and pickup. They demand cash or money order at delivery. They charge by volume so they can pack things loose, which takes up more space and costs more. It also allows things to move and get damaged. Do yourself a favor. Avoid these guys. You'll be money ahead in the long run.

I am very careful hiring moving companies and United Regions Van Lines is one of the few names that I have consistently used several times. They are the masters of the accurate quote if they give you a price, it will be right on the money or maybe vary by a few percent (sometimes, it can even be CHEAPER than the original quote). They are also very particular with their scheduling their trucks always arrive earlier than they say they will and are willing to get started as soon as they come. If you have to move, I would strongly suggest you try United Regions Van Lines before the others.

A good moving company that has reasonable rates and a very friendly team of movers. They helped us move our 3 bedroom house in Oklahoma City to our new place in Mundelein, IL. On moving day, they arrived right on time and made sure that we understood the process before they began. They also asked us if there were any boxes that needed special attention (we had packed most of the house up ourselves) and stuck on the bright ‘Fragile’ labels on them. All our things were loaded up carefully and the boxes were tightly packed on board. I would hire this company again.

Horrible. Terrible. Unprofessional. Unethical and sketchy, terrible movers. I paid extra to have them pack things I didn’t trust myself to pack. Everything they packed broke. They put a glass lamp shade in a blanket, no box. Threw art stacked together in boxes with no wrapping protecting each one, threw fragile glass lamps in a box with no wrapping, shade and light bulb still attached. Lied about pricing. Lied about delivery time frame. Lied and said they never contract out yet an entirely different company delivered my things. For the pick-up they hired 2 guys off of Craig’s list an hour before my move. These were not professional (or trained) movers. They weren’t vetted. The foreman fired them after 2.5 hours and insisted he could do the move himself. He paid them $10/each for almost 3 hours of work. I was told it was none of my business where they found movers or if they paid them. Foreman was incapable himself, extremely rude and unprofessional. Absolutely awful experience. Not capable, not professional. Just disgusting people running a racquet. I feel lucky that I got my stuff (even if half of it was broken). Stay away. A toddler will treat your things with more care than they will!

Our family of 6 hired United Regions Van Lines for our move and would do so again. They were very polite and helpful all the times that any one of us interacted with them. The same goes for their office crew, which was always happy to take the time and explain contract clauses and other things we didnt understand. The movers were also very fast and efficient while also being very professional and careful with our things. All our furniture, big appliances and all our boxes were delivered without damage. Based on our experience, we would definitely recommend them. 5 stars all the way.

I hired United Regions Van Lines to transport all the things that were too bulky to be sent by air when I was moving from Charleston, SC to Austin, TX. The movers from United Regions Van Lines were on time for the pickup (we had already packed everything) and they completed the loading within an hour. I asked them to deliver it in a very specific time window in TX for convenience and they did exactly that. Even though this was a relatively minor job, I was impressed by the hard work that they invested and loved that they adhered to my timeline. I recommend United Regions Van Lines.

My friends and I pooled our money together to hire United Regions Van Lines to move one of our elderly neighbors into an assisted living facility. When we explained that to the sales team, they expedited our request and gave us discounts at every possible turn. The timing was very crucial because the elderly lady is on special medication and preferred to be near things that she was familiar with. United Regions Van Lines helped us with that aspect as well, making sure that all her things were delivered to her room before she arrived (we flew her to Miami, FL). She was delighted to walk into her new room with all her favorite things there, waiting for her. Everything worked out perfectly. Thanks, United Regions Van Lines!

United Regions Van Lines gets a 100 percent score in my books every time I hire them. The reason is that they do every single thing right and leave me with no reason to complain at all. For my move from Durham, NC to Solon, OH, they sent their truck right on time. The moving team was excellent. They just clarified with us what rooms needed to be cleared and if we had special instructions, etc. before they began. Our 2 bedroom home was swiftly packed up and loaded, and they even finished early. It was very well done. I will hire United Regions Van Lines for my next move, too.
