I received a call from United Regional Van Lines yesterday, 7-29-24, regarding the delivery of our belongings after being in storage since 6-19-24. We have had numerous contacts from the company about payment and the delivery date. I was led to believe that ours belongings had already been moved to ********* from **********, but was told that they were still in **********. I set the delivery date of for August 23. Yesterday I was told that that may not happen. The company could deliver our goods anywhere from 10 to 17 days AFTER that date. The company still needed to transport it, which could take 10 days, and then there could be stops in between. I responded that NO ONE had ever said that at any time. I was then told that the person I had been dealing with was no longer with the company, and this was their policy. If I had known that I would NEVER have done business with them. I was told originally that there was a 2 day swing period on both ends. That we could deal with, but not 10-17 days. That puts us into renting a place for additional time and expense. Today is July 31st. I am asking BBB to help us resolve this situation. There is plenty of time for the company to deliver our belongings on time. We have already paid for the storage and 60% of the moving costs, which is their policy. We want them to live up to their original agreement to deliver our goods within 2 days of the 23rd. That gives them until August 25th - 26 days from now. This is a perfectly reasonable request. Honor your agreement. Don't just tell me you'll contact your distributor and let me know 2 days before my things are to be delivered. (Yes, that is what I was told.) I asked the Rep. yesterday to act on our behalf. Her response was that she would make a call, but it was to inform the distributor that we wanted our things delivered on the agreed upon date. She did not give me ANY indication that our things would be transported in the next week or two. Please help! We really need it!!!United Regions Van Lines LLC

STAY FAR AWAY. These reviews are fake. This company can not be trusted. You may have a nice salesman to start you off who seems knowledgeable and friendly, but that is where this type of interaction ends. They (driver name is Alex) didnt show up during the pickup window and told me it was because their truck broke down. Later that evening, after I threatened to cancel the contract, a lady from customer service called me to tell me they were lying and that, in fact, they had just not finished the previous job yet. She assured me they would be there first thing the following day. They showed up around 10:30 as a bunch of entitled teenagers. Lazy packing job (things just piled in to boxes without being wrapped or protected), broke multiple items, including my $3k OLED TV. Oh, and I should mention that they only packed up half of my stuff before demanding an additional $8000 to pack up the rest of it. I told them to kick rocks and rented a UHaul and did the rest myself. When they delivered the half of my stuff that they had packed and loaded before attempting to extort me, the driver of the truck asked me if i wanted to keep the protective moving blankets or if I wanted him to unwrap my belongings. He (Mike) asked me for $30 per blanket for the 55 blankets ($1650). I told him to get busy unwrapping, and he started haggling with me. We finally agreed that I would send him $250 to his private account, not associated with the company, and I could keep the blankets. This business is shady. STAY AWAY!! By any means possible DO NOT use this company. They are horrible, their business practices are unethical and unprofessional. They are great about harassing you to get your business give you a quote and then once you are locked in the price changes multiple times, you can not believe anything they tell you ALL Lies!!! And they take no responsibility for their lack of unethical business practices. If I could give a -10 I would. We were charged 500 for some tape and bubble wrap. We had less items on our return after relocating and using them one year prior and they charged us much more, even though they promised a discount for being a return customer. The only reason we used them again after a mess the first time around we figured all the wrinkles would be ironed out. This time has been even WORSE. 1 starSales representative Misrepresented terms and conditions to gain my account. Household goods put in storage and held without my knowledge. Charges continued to escalate. Many items lost in transit. Breakage far exceeded any I had ever had in previous 12 cross state lines moves: Furniture broken, washer and dryer damaged, TV, printer, China, all broken to shards. Hanamint patio furniture lost and never delivered, garage shelving and commercial truck dolly lost and never delivered, kitchen items lost and never delivered. The list goes on. I have video and photographs of damage. When I reached out on the United Regions Van Lines 800 number, and sent several emails which included some photos and a video of damage requesting the contact names and numbers of individuals at United Regions Van Lines to whom I could address my concerns,. I was told to file my claim of loss with their third party, Moving Claims. No contact within their company would be given to me. United Regions Van Lines stated they have professional packers and movers employed by them when in fact the workers were ***** **** hires and not professional movers. Monetary loss is one thing. The Fraudulent misrepresentation of service, neglect, scamming to obtain a contract causing, and blatant disregard for clients is another. 2 starsThey did not show up the first day nor did they call to advise until 7pm. They did not complete the job on Friday as promised. They did not deliver my furniture on June 30 as promised, but delivered on July 2nd. When they delivered the first truckload, they did not unpack or dispose of boxes as promised. Now the last truckload of my furniture is missing and no one can tell me where it is or when I can expect it to be delivered. The left a mess behind after the job. 5 starsThis company stands out from typical moving companies. They go all out to ensure your move is smooth and easy. Im comparing this to my past moves, which involved just a small group of friends and a *******. The price difference is something to consider, but I suggest trying them at least once to see if it's worth it. For me, the convenience and speed they offer are definitely a step up.
