Had Paul Davis take care of my basement fire in October 2024 and it was absolute ******** working with them since the start. Extremely uncoordinated and work quality was unacceptable. Current issue is a screen door replacement that I’ve been having issues with and multiple texts and calls have been ignored by the project manager, Adam INCLUDING a voicemail to his boss. This company is absolutely terrible.

Called Paul Davis for a water loss in our basement due to sump pump motor failure. After having sump pump replaced, we rented wet vac and fans from ******* to soak up water and dry out basement. Due to high volume, they couldn’t get here until day after we called. Upon talking to first Paul Davis employee coming, he said it’ll go quicker and be cheaper if we pull off the trim/baseboard, carpet, and carpet pad ourselves, so we did. Next day, a different Paul Davis employee came made a sketch of basement, and had crew set up some equipment. I asked for an estimate before she left and she said I’d get it the next day. Knowing how busy they were, I waited another day before calling back since we had not gotten an estimate, also asked when they were coming back to get equipment. She said they would be back the next day to check on things. They didn’t show up. We called back again asking for an estimate and she said she would file it the next day and the crew would be there that afternoon to get equipment. They showed up in the morning so I had to call my mother in law to let them in to gather equipment; still no estimate. Got a bill on the mail a month later for over $4200. I called about the bill asking for an itemized invoice; some of the charges included baseboard removal, carpet and carpet pad bagging and removal, and drill holes which were already there from Paul Davis from a different water loss 7 years ago. Now I’m waiting for an updated bill reflecting the discrepancies.Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of Southeast and Fox Valley WI

As questions arose, he responded with answers, specific to the process and guidance for questions beyond the scope. He helped us make confident decisions about things we didn’t understand. 5 starswe wanted to share a very terrifying devastating homeowners experience that happened June 22, 2024, two EF1 tornados touched down and wiped out our home allowing lots of water damage, within a week after meeting with our insurance company onsite introducing Paul Davis restoration began. today as of July 28, 2024, just a little over a month, our home is totally dried out, all debris removed, studs scrapped from nails, etc. Paul Davis has multiple teams that handled our condition with care, compassion and love like it was their own, all items inventoried, wrapped, padded and brought back to their warehouse to restore what they can and hold for storage until we rebuild and move back to our home. Home was only 2 years young with some items recently just purchased new. Paul Davis made us felt like family which help our support process getting through all of this as of today. This group busted their tails to move things along quickly, showed up everyday M-F, even had Paul Davis at our home the day after July 4th, Friday July 5th, we are very impressed in how this went from devastation to restored condition considering we never went through this and didn't know what to do. We highly recommend Paul Davis for any type of restoration. The entire Paul Davis Team deserves Gold Metals for so many reasons and for human caring and not just another job attitude . 2 starsHired Paul Davis as my restoration Company due to a water damage. They stared strong, so I left it a good review. But after that things went down the hill. My insurance Company was definitely taking for a ride. Basement floor got cut too short even when baseboards got installed you could have see all those imperfections. So I asked to be redone, but instead Paul Davis restoration installed thicker baseboards, even after that didn’t looked better that much. Due to this I asked for my deductible charge to be waived, but they care less about that. Definitely money greedy Company.Review fromAshley R

1 starThe restoration team that came into our home after an ice dam occurred and caused water damage inside our home was fabulous! Very professional, responsive, helpful and fast! However, the team that came in after them, also with Paul Davis, to replace drywall, instillation and paint was a different story. They were VERY unprofessional, rude, and messy! Did not clean up well, we had to remove pain from our floors, windows, blinds, etc. We also had to pick up old instillation that was left on our floors daily for our young child to find. They also ensured us several times that we would "never know we were here." That was NOT the case. The texture on our walls and ceilings did not match the previous texture, so where drywall was removed and replaced is noticeable. I did reach out to the "project manager" several times with my concerns regarding lack of professionalism and communications with a response that he was glad I had told him in the middle of the process instead of the end. This made zero difference. Communication continued to be very poor. Very careless and would NEVER recommend this company to anyone needing home restoration or remodeling. The "project manager" never walked through our home upon "completion" to ensure that the project was completed appropriately and cleaned thoroughly. I received an email 2 weeks later asking to sign a project completion form. Our concerns were communicated regarding the mess and lack of professionalism, once again. "To make things right" they offered to come back, 3 weeks afterwards. We no longer wanted them in our home making another mess resulting in our responsibility to clean up. We were NOT fairly compensated for our time and personal supplies, including paint for trim that was banged up and ripped off from tape on our walls for 3+ months. I have still not received a survey, as I am sure they do not want to hear from us.Review fromHerman W
