I entered the Good Feet Store on June 16, 2024 at 2pm for a scheduled appointment. The appointment had been scheduled three days earlier online. I had received two calls in the interim from ****** at Good Feet saying they needed to reschedule my appointment due to scheduling issues. I did not answer the calls because they were from unknown phone numbers. I was greeted by *************************, the salesman. I explained I had foot pain related to a bunion and he said they could solve my issue. He traced the shape of my feet and went to the back of store and returned with four plastic arch supports. One was a Diamond strengthener and the other three types were classic strengtheners, maintainers and relaxers. He had me walk in the shoes I brought in after putting in the strengthener. It felt like I was walking on a rock. He then inserted the maintainer and remarked at how much better they would feel. They felt like a relief after the first supports. He explained the strengthener should be worn daily for 1-2 hours for the first week and then said the maintainer should be worn rest of the day. He gave me a schedule of how the use of the strengthener would gradually increase over a 5 week period. He told me to pick out 2 pairs of socks (implied they were free) and I was billed $27.95 for each pair. I was billed for overlay cushions $159.90 and $9.95 for Velcro tab strips. There were no signs in the store with any prices and there was no sign that said sales were final. He put the items in a bag and pointed to a barely visible final amount. It was unclear that the price was $2185.75. He never gave me an itemized statement until after I gave him my credit card. When I left I noted the full bill was$2366.07 (tax was added) and noted the statement said All Sales are Final. I wore the arch supports as instructed and noted worsening pain in both feet, including new pain in ***** of feet. This company is a scam and does not give you a total amount until you have already paid.

On 4/13/2024 I had an appointment with The Good Feet Store at ************************************************************************. when I arrived, the sales lady put me in a chair. I found that the lady talked very fast. Every time I had something negative to say she would respond with they would make it better. She said I would need to change inserts every little bit at work. I tried hard to tell her I did not have time at work to be changing shoes or inserts very often. Non the less she didn't listen to my complains but would only say she was going to stop my pain. When I arrived for my appointment, I was in a lot of pain, and I really wanted to believe her when she said she was going to make my pain go away. She said they would adjust the inserts and she did. She would go to the back of the store somewhere and come out with different ones. When I asked her what if these don't work, she would only say we will make them work. After buying them and leaving the store I did my best to do what she had told me to do because I want nothing more than for this to take away the pain. She never did tell me all sales are finale. As a matter of fact, I didn't even know it till I got home and saw it in fine print on the very bottom of my small receipt. I called and asked for a refund and told her they were making my feet worse. My feet had now begun to swell. She asked me to come in for adjustments so feeling like I had no other options I went back in and that didn't work either. I have been asking for a refund ever since and have not gotten it. Now I keep getting the run around from her and I'm very unsatisfied. they were very quick to charge me and never told me they don't want to give refunds. At this point all I want is my money back. I feel like I've been scammed, and my feet are worse since trying to wear their inserts. ***** consider helping me with this issue. Thank you very much!

I went to The Good Feet Store on February 6, 2024 in ***********, *** because my feet hurt with new steel toe shoes. I was told to take my shoes off and step on a piece of paper with my socks on. The paper turned colors and supposedly gave foot measurements that said I needed 3 different arch supports and to wear them in a certain order for at least a month before my feet felt better. I wore the insoles for a month and went back to the store and asked for my money back because my feet and hurt worse than before and my doctor said I didn't need orthotic insoles. The employee said I didn't wear them right and had me step on the paper again and gave me different insoles. I wore this set and my feet were still in pain. On June 20, 2024, I went back again and ask for a refund and was told to step on a piece of paper and they would again give me different insoles to try. This is their answer each time. The advertisements and website says, " Good Feet Arch Supports can relieve foot, knee, hip, and back pain." This is false advertising. After wearing the arch supports for just a few hours my feet hurt so bad I can't walk without pain for the rest of the day. The pain lasts through the night and into the next day. The contract says there are no refunds. Just continual in store adjustments which means they keep giving different orthotics which cause more pain. The store does not provide a doctor's ******** The contract says "Good feet products are not intended as medical devices. Good Feet employees do not diagnose prescribe or treat medical conditions." When foot pain is present it is a medical condition. When a salesperson tells me my foot pain is from my arches then that is a diagnosis. An orthotic being sold to cure foot pain is intended to work as a medical device whether they call it that or not. I don't want another adjustment or more insoles. I want my money refunded. This product causes foot pain and does not work as advertised.

      Customer Answer

The Good Feet Store contacted me today, June 26th, 2024 and asked me to come in and see why my feet hurt wearing their insoles. I said I would come in if it was for a refund. They said I needed to come in to see if I am wearing the insoles correctly and to get another reading. I told them I don't want a 4th adjustment and more insoles. The manager said when I'm ready to talk I can come in but she would not say I would be refunded. I'm not comfortable going into a store and being told  it's my fault their product doesn't work and then being given more insoles to try.

I went to the *********** location in some desperate need of plantar fasciitis pain relief in March 2024.I had also seen a podiatrist and was given a steroid shot during the same time I visited The Shoe Store".My pain was relieved so I didn't know if it was the steroid shot or the inserts that helped me because I followed the exact directions given to me with changing out the inserts. Here we are 3 months later and I again am in some severe plantar fasciitis pain.I feel $2,400 was/is a waste of my money. I called the *********** location & talked with ******************************** suggested I go back in to get reevaluated. I do not feel like going thru this process again.I want to mail my inserts back to the company, stop getting billed & start seeing a specialist to help me with my pain.

On May 24, 2024 around 3pm, on the recommendation of my wifes doctor, we went to the Good Feet store located at *****************************************************. We were assisted by store manager, ****. We purchased a $2100 orthotic package after being told there was a lifetime replacement adjustment. My wife wore the training pair of orthotics she was told to wear first, for 45 minutes, as recommended by ****. After wearing them, the pain in her right foot was intense and lasted for two days. She called the store on May 29 to inquire about a refund. The store employee told her they had a no refund policy. That same day I went to the store and spoke with **** about the fact that at no time during the fitting and purchase process were either of us told about a no refund policy. **** refused to refund us despite admitting that he may have forgotten to tell us about the policy because he was busy that day. As I waited for **** to finish helping a female customer, ***** sales pitch to her. The woman decided to purchase an orthotic package, applied and was approved for financing, and completed her purchase at the register with ****. It was not until the womans purchase was complete that **** mentioned the no refund policy. I surveyed the inside of the Good Feet Store with my camera and found the only sign that mentions the No Refunds policy was on the wall adjacent to the register, hung well back among other certificates, and hung in such a manner that it is easily obscured by the register itself and completely blocked by any associate who might be standing at the register, as would be the case anytime a customer is paying. Also of note, the sign states adjustments and exchanges are allowed up to 90 days. The manager, ****, told us multiple times during the sales pitch that Lifetime adjustments are included. **** stated we would receive a call from a district manager on the 30th, because he could not help us. We have yet to receive a call.

On Friday, May 31st, I received a text message from the store manager. He stated district manager would be reaching out in the afternoon. The district manager never called or texted. I sent a follow up text that afternoon, and did not hear back until the next day from the store manager. He stated that the district manager would contact me after their morning meeting June 1st. The district manager never contacted me. I received an automated text requesting information about my experience with The Good Feet Store on June 6, which I did not respond to as I have already filled out one of those surveys. No one from The Good Feet Store has contacted me by phone, email, or text since June 1st.

Bought inserts in February 2024, went back about 3 times to get different inserts. The inserts they gave me hurt my back feet and knees. Told me I could wear any shoes I wanted with these inserts. They sold me three insert and I was suppose to wear all three in one day which I did. Than my back started to bother me and my knees which he said was normal for a month till I got used to them. Now Im going for therapy on my back and knee. My other foot also started to bother me and kept saying I will get used to the. Not happening its been 3-4 months now and I stopped wearing them for a week and feel much better . Big scam in my opinion , I guess when u go in there u are desperate like I was for some relief. Not sure how wearing 3 different inserts in a day can be good for your feet. Very dissatisfied.

On Thursday 5/23/2024 I visited The Good Feet Store at 1:15 pm at ***********************. We do a few test walks with different supports and after a few demonstrations he asks so how are paying for this today without showing me any prices. I told him I have an HSA card or Credit card. He then shows me the price sheet and gets dead silent on me which was intimidating. I was taken aback by the cost but still opted for the cheapest package. He offers me the option to pay over 18 mths no interest I at first said no Ill pay it all today. He proceeds behind the desk Im assuming for a credit card reader but again offers the ******************************************************************************************************************* to fill out so I do he goes into a back room comes out and says were going to throw in a couple pair of compression socks the Velcro tabs and some extra insoles. Throw in to me means complimentary as I did Not ask for these items and was not told I would be charged for them. Total comes out to $2305.97. I left the store feeling like I got played and wondering how I was supposed to make payments as he did not take my card info. I get home look at the paperwork and realize that he opened up a Care Credit account never informing me thats what he was doing when he went in the back room. I call Care credit they informed he signed me up for a credit line of $3000 thats when I realized I had been manipulated and that he charging up the card by throwing in the extras. He never once mentioned all sales final but it was on the paperwork he left in the box. I tried to contact the store by phone with my concerns and the manger would pretend she couldnt hear me then I went to the store and she called the police refusing to talk to me they suggested I contact corporate and told me they didnt understand why they were even called. In all this company lacks integrity, theres No transparency and they shamed me by calling the police.

[They did send me new inserts but that is not the whole part of my complaint.  I told them I didnt want them.  That was part of it but the trust issue & my feet continued to hurt after 2 adjustments.  Also we were under the understanding that it was a zero interest loan not them opening a CC on my behalf & now am unable to close it because it will go against our credit since we already paid it off.  That is just not right.  I followed up with a foot doctor yesterday and was told that I didnt need insoles & it has aggravated my foot even more & now have to have surgery.  I want my money or part of it back.  This appt yesterday confirms they dont have the medical knowledge needed to put people in Insoles.  I have to have some bones in my foot fused together to get the pain to go away.  The insoles for the past 6-7 weeks have added to my pain.  I have been instructed to stop wearing them per ******************* now have to either purchase new inserts for my 3 pair of shoes since they told me to throw them away I would never need them again or go by 3 new pair of shoes.  Either way this all is costing me money & a surgery on top of it.  I want my money back that is the only satisfaction that will work for me.  Please type your response here.]

I spoke with regional manager from Good feet on Friday 5/31/24.

I am not satisfied with the company's efforts to resolve this matter. I was led to believe the orthotics would help me with pain. They do not. I am seeking a total refund at best or I can purcahse the sneakers I wore once and the orthotic I wore the most. Total time possession of items were less than five days. Dispute with ***** fargo still in motion.

I did not completely understand Good Feet last response. Very limited wording. Says something like handling dispute through ***** fargo. I am seeking full refund or at the least will purchase sneakers and one pair orthotic that I wore. Items are no longer in my possession. Also, I received letter from ***** fargo saying dispute was denied. I have since called to appeal denial. I refuse to wear something that hurts me more, and I refuse to pay significant money for something that hurts me.

This is regarding The Good Feet Store Tulsa I notice the company name is listed differently. I Went in for test fit February 23, 2024 I did not realize at the time the high pressure sales tactic that would be employed, I was really suffering from heel pain in my left foot, tried the inserts and they seemed to help for the two minutes I was allowed to use them in the store. Called back a few days later to tell them the inserts were causing me more pain than I originally had, now i had pain in both feet I tried their suggestions to no avail, pain got so bad I had to stop wearing the inserts. I asked for a refund they refused, I feel they took complete advantage of me with their high pressure sales tactics, and the product is a complete misrepresentation of what it can do, potentially causing foot damage to the user. They say they cant offer a refund because it is a medical device, if that is the case they are providing medical devices with no proven medical training or credentials. It is my opinion that they are taking advantage of un suspecting customers.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

They did contact me once by phone that is when I told them the product was not working and causing more problems and pain than I originally had. They also responded to a ******  Review  with no offer of a solution. Other than that Im not aware that they have tried to contact me. I will go to the store when I have a chance. Until then my complaint stands unresolved.

      Regards,

I took off work and drove ******************************************** hand, **** (the original sales person) came to the front of the store when I arrived immediately wanted me to sit down so they could start pushing more of their junk product on me. I told him I was not interested in wasting any more of my time and money on an inserts that I have been told by Medical DR twice now are not going to work for me that I just wanted some kind of a refund. I asked **** again for a refund and he refused to discuss that, so left the store. As to their original contention that they have tried to contact me several times I believe that to be a lie, my contact information has not changed.
