    After having a water leak we contracted Altitude Contracting, LLC to repair damage. Prior to them starting we experienced another water leak in a separate area due to a different problem. An estimate for the separate area was given and was agreed for replacing flooring in upstairs kitchen. An estimate was given for and agreed upon for both jobs. Downstairs estimate included, replacing vinyl flooring, replacing grout on tile flooring, repairing and painting drywall. Upstairs estimate included replacing vinyl flooring. As well as a Dutch door at the top of the stairs to be placed. On or about 10/17/22 work was started. I was told that the grout they used could go over current grout. I sent several messages regarding my concerns of placing it over the grout that was present. I was informed multiple times that fine, they had done it before. After attempting to place new grout over old grout it was unsuccessful and new grout had to be purchased(by me) for them to completely remove and replace the old grout. Prior to the start I moved all items in the downstairs to the center of another room and covered for protection. When they started the job they did not cover anything in the kitchen nor did they place any barriers on doorways, therefore grout dust was everywhere, including behind closed doors and upstairs. They failed to turn the furnace off, therefore dust was sent through the vents and was even in closets behind closed doors upstairs. They left the house this way, I contacted him and he did come the next day to clean the downstairs, however was a subpar job. They did not complete the upstairs and left the thresholds not done. One room downstairs was not done at all, as well as the door that was installed was opening the wrong way, dragging the floor and nothing like agreed upon. $9309 was paid in full via checks all of was required prior. They initially offered to reimburse $600 for the door, however have not and now will not answer. I also did all the painting.
