We purchased a building from ******* in west over wv and the third party company that I’m a filing a complaint against was to deliver on 10/31. We called ******* and they informed us that the company never showed and they called to be informed that they were getting tires on a truck and gave me contact information for them.
My wife called spoke to the owner and the owner flipped out on my wife and told her that it’s not his job to tell us when our stuff will be delivered. We both took off work so my husband lost out on $262.24 and I lost out on $200 dollars by not working. He then told me his job is to dispatch not tell her when anything will be delivered and was very rude. Very unprofessional and if you look ******* has many complaints about this company.

He told us that he doesn’t know a time for the delivery. And doesn’t know if it’ll even be today. It’s now pushing 5 o’clock my wife is pregnant and if it’s delivered tomorrow she can’t do anything to unload it and has her own business at our house that cannot have the driveway blocked.

This is honestly a big nightmare and something needs to be done with this company and man.

The delivery for this customer was to take place on 10/31/23 (Halloween Night). There were several other deliveries scheduled that day. ******* does not dictate in what order those deliveries go out. It is up to us to plan out each day in a way that ensures the truck will not be circling back to the store unnecessarily. In other words, the driver plans his deliveries based on their location, and has to consider what will fit on the truck safely, what the product is, etc. I never give out specific times for deliveries for that reason.

The driver calls each customer either as he's leaving the store, or as he's leaving a prior delivery to let them know he's en route, and to ask if there are special instructions for the drop off. If someone at ******* told this customer a specific time, they misled them. What I was trying to explain to the customer when she called me was that no one customer ever takes precedence over any other customer, but she hung up on me before I had a chance to finish my sentence.

She was understandably upset with ******* when I told her they misled her and she decided to take it out on me instead.  My truck was in the shop getting new steer tires at the time of her phone call. It was a scheduled appointment, and the tires had been on order for a while, and desperately needed replaced. I told her that the delivery would still make it out IF the truck was finished in time for the driver to get it there at a reasonable hour. It was Halloween night and my driver has a small child. When I realized the delivery was going to push into the late evening, I made the call to postpone it until the following day in order to give my driver the opportunity to take his child trick or treating.

The delivery took place the next day without incident. I am not in the position to issue refunds for services rendered as I am a third party delivery service contracted out by *******. My job is to deliver product from the store to the customer safely, which we did.

The customer stated that if she wasn't there and the delivery would need to be moved to the following day, she wouldn't be able to help with the unload.... that is NEVER the case. Customers never have to help us unload their product, and the driver uses a piggyback forklift and can literally place the product anywhere the customer wants him to.. There would be no reason for a driveway to end up blocked unless the customer told the driver to place the product in front of the door... I did not "flip out" on his wife. I responded in a defensive manner because one of the first things she said to me was that she was going to report my business to the BBB for an infraction committed on a service I hadn't even provided her yet.... I have never had a complaint filed against my company for anything with the BBB, *******, or anywhere else.
