I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my experience with Climb Credit in relation to my financing of a bootcamp program through Careerist.First and foremost, I was shocked by how high the interest rates turned out to be. I was not adequately informed of just how costly the loan would be in the long run. What I expected to be a supportive path to a new career instead became a significant financial burden.Additionally, the bootcamp did not deliver on the promises made during enrollment. I was led to believe that Careerist had a high job placement rate and would provide robust career coaching throughout the process. However, the job coaching was minimal, and the overall support was lacking. I did not receive the career services I was promised, and this significantly impacted my ability to find employment after completing the program.Perhaps most upsetting was the misinformation I received regarding a potential refund or compensation if I failed to secure a job within a year. During a phone call with the company, I was explicitly told that if I did not find employment within one year of completing the program, I would be eligible for some form of reimbursement. However, when I followed up about this, I was told it did not apply to me because I financed the bootcamp. This directly contradicted the information I was given previously and feels extremely deceptive.I feel misled by both Climb Credit and Careerist. The lack of transparency, the high-interest loan, and the false assurances have left me in a difficult financial and professional situation. I trusted this process to help advance my career, and instead, I was taken advantage of.I hope this complaint is taken seriously and that steps are taken to prevent other students from going through a similar experience.Sincerely,

I completed the Manual QA program in 2023. I did everything that was needed and asked of me from the advisor, instructors and mentors. I completed the program and followed all the steps. They have a 100% money back guarantee if you follow all steps. Some of the requirements were to send screenshots of every call I had with the mentor when knowing call logs dont last that long. Even applications I dont have all applications or emails. The requirements they said I didnt meet are false and I want it looked into. I have found that others have had the same exact complaints and they have gotten away with this for far too long.

    Dear ******,

Thank you for sharing your concerns and feedback. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you've experienced. We take such matters very seriously and regret that you feel our program did not meet the standards we strive to uphold.
Our goal is to support our students in achieving their career objectives, and we understand how important the money-back guarantee is as part of that commitment. We want to assure you that your concerns were thoroughly reviewed. We have reviewed your case again and checked all information that was provided by you. Unfortunately,  we found out you did not provide required information to comply with the agreement that was signed between you and our company.

Specifically, the following requirements were not fulfilled:
    1. ???Timely Communication: You did not consistently reply to placement-related communication from Careerist within 24 hours. Prompt communication is essential to ensure effective support and guidance throughout your job search.
    2. ???Mentor Recommendations: It was noted that you did not always follow the recommendations provided by your mentors. Adhering to their guidance is crucial for a successful job search strategy.
    3. ???Weekly Applications: The number of job applications submitted on a weekly basis was insufficient.
Additionally, most applications made via Linkedin were marked as being submitted one year ago or eleven months ago, indicating a lack of consistent job application activity throughout the guarantee period.

You provided some information, but it was not enough to fulfill the agreement requirements. If you have more evidence to provide, please contact our support team. We would be happy to help you. Customer success is very important to us.

    Sincerely,

    Careerist Inc.

I applied for and completed the manual QA engineering program through careerist. During the application process they guaranteed employment once the program was completed. I paid for the program with a student loan. With the terms of the loan the monthly payment has now more then quadrupled. I still have not been able to gain employment even with completion of the program nor been able to refinance the loan. The program has a one year of gainful employment or money back guarantee but it has been impossible getting answers as to how this can be resolved. I have tried to refinance the loan but have had no luck due to it being a private institution that is not listed in the options. I am at a dead end and completely feel taken advantage of. I just want my loan to be cleared/ the agency to pay the loan back that they received. I was completely taken by their promise and guarantee of employment and now every thing I have worked for with my credit is now at risk.
