I purchased a 2017 **** ***** at this auction on July/23 and the only disclosed info was that the rear seat was missing, when i picked up the vehicle that same day and drove home, when i got in the vehicle and put it in drive there was a short delay to get it in drive.....then on the drive home the transmission was slipping and flaring up in all gears but 3rd gear was the worst, when doing 50-60 km/hr the engine was revving at 3000 RPM's and when it finally shifted into 4th gear it was an extrerme jolt and was slipping severely......once I got home i immediately called the Auction and left a message for the ******* ***** ******* *** ******* to call me.....by Monday at 9:30 he still had'nt called me so I called him......he said he would look into it.........he called back a short time later and said sorry......nothing we can do for you......I told him that the rans issue was not declared or disclosed at time of auction and that was shady on thier part and they need to fix this......he said he would call me back........a short time later he texted me a long text saying they would not help and the consignor which is "The City of Edmonton" and they said nothing was wrong with it.........when I called *** back to talk about it he would not take my calls.....several of my calls were ignored.........when i texted him and told him its in his companies best interest to call me as i have 100% proof that the trans was in need of replacing as i know people that work for the City and it was verified it needed replacing and the fluid was burnt and If I dont get a call back within 60 minutes i would take action on my own.....he texted finally but still declined helping out........so here is the start of resolving this problem

Good morning. To whom it may concern. Yes I have had conversations and text communication with this buyer. And yes at times I can be not easy to get in contact with. I can only take one client at a time and this one has shown to be very impatient. As many can be. So it is important to point out again to this buyer that he did in fact on his own free will participate in an unreserved auction with all vehicles clearly stated as being sold " as is ". I did however have our rep get in touch with the seller and ask if there was anything in their records to show transmission issues. Also important to point out that this seller ( City of Edmonton ) does make declarations IF they know of an issue. Their history showed a complete motor replacement and a transmission service done in the last three years and no indication of current transmission issues. Also our team of hiking crew drove this vehicle from the COE compound to our location for sale and did not find or report any issues. So with this information I did inform this buyer that there would be no arbitration on this matter.   Tell us why here...

      ********** ********

I am rejecting this response because: The city of Edmonton managers are lying because it went to the auction because of the transmission issues…..as I said, I know people at the City and I reached out this week and have concrete proof with dates, mileage and a list of stuff done to this unit as well as notes saying it requires a transmission because the fluid was burnt and did not drive right….and when I picked up the vehicle I noticed right away as the shifting was erratic and kept flaring up and slipping.     I have given ******** ***** and the City of Edmonton the chance to make things right so I guess I’ll keep on with my steps to make it known what these companies can do to a customer with no remorse just to make a buck.    I have been in touch with a lawyer who is waiting to hear if a resolution has been found through the ***

      Sincerely,

I will forward these comments on to the COE administration. Again I believe it important to state that this buyer and all others participating in that sale knew that all vehicles were being sold " UNRESERVED and AS IS " . And each of them participated at their own choice and agreed to the terms of the auction prior to being allowed to bid. All of this is in the auction sign up verbiage and also voiced by the auctioneers prior to the sale. At this point the seller has stated to us in email that they were not aware of transmission issues and our drivers did not report any issues. And we do not have any quote or paperwork from the buyer to substantiate the issue. At this point only some name calling and threats of news agencies and lawyers etc. If there are major issues with the vehicle it is unfortunate and no one here at the auction nor at the COE would be intentionally trying to sell vehicles hiding major issues. Buyers come to an auction to get that " great deal ".  Sometimes it happens and sometimes it does not. COE is under no obligation to do any arbitration on this vehicle. However as I have stated I will forward these last comments to them and see if there is any change.
