    Booking number: ************.On Friday, March ****, I took a FlixBus (bus broker) via Universal Bus Lines from ******* to *******. I left my medical eyeglasses on the bus. I reported the item missing within one hour of getting off the bus, per the FlixBus online process. I took a FlixBus on Friday, March ****, and had the same driver, ****. I spoke to him directly about my eyeglasses. He described them perfectly, the exact correct color and shape that they were in. I confirmed that they were mine, and he confirmed he had them. I also have written proof that he had the glasses in a text message sent directly to me. He did not report the glasses to FlixBus Lost and Found, and the company relies on the employees to do so, despite him having them. I had reached out to Universal Bus Lines directly to sort this out with them directly, before contacting the BBB. The manager told me he would follow-up, and chose not to do anything about it. I had a call with this employee, who I have on record, as describing the glasses as mine, and he also stated that FlixBus is 'terrible'. Also recorded within the call was the employee stating that he 'threw them out'. I asked why someone would throw out a pair of glasses and he stated "why wouldn't they?". FlixBus confirmed they sent the Lost and Found request, as well, they confirmed they are only the bus broker, and Universal Bus Lines is to be contacted for the replacement value and compensation. This employee has either stolen my personal property (evidenced by having the item and not reporting to the Lost and Found), or knowingly discarded them, as he stated on the call. Therefore, Universal Bus Line is responsible for the replacement cost. Frames: $***. Lenses: $**. Total: $******.
