On **** ** PR Handyman arrived 2 weeks early to dig up our lawn to pour a sidewalk. They had a cancellation for that day so just showed up to do the work. The lawn was left dug up until **** ** when they finally poured the cement. Through that period of time we had to wait for them to put up warning tape as we were afraid that someone might trip and fall. We also paid him *****. as a half payment. On July 30 he informed us that the bill was ****. Our quote from him for the job was ********* He claimed that because they had to hand dig the hole instead of using a backhoe it would cost us more. He was not taking in to consideration the fact that he started the work early because someone else had cancelled the work for that day. On the day the cement was poured we had ****** Ready to pay him the rest of the ******** that he had quoted us. However because they had to hand dig it was ***** more. If the job had been done when it was planned he could have machine dug the hole. As we only had ***** In the house he settled for that. After the cement was poured *******, the owner, said they would be back in a couple of days to finish the job. On Monday, **** ** we called him to see when he would be coming to remove the boards and clean up . ******* said it would have to dry for a month, we told him that was not acceptable and we wanted him here tomorrow to remove the boards and clean up. He did arrive today, removed the boards but did not clean up. We are now left with the clean up plus as he didnt leave us any sod we will have to fill in that area ourselves. ** * ** ** ***** *** *** ** **** ****** I find this unacceptable.

Just an update to let you know that the sidewalk has to be replaces as it is a safety hazard.  Two contractors have confirmed the removal of the cement.
