    Toyota Canada is not standing by their products and is not able to provide replacement parts for vehicles within 5 years of the manufacturing year of the vehicle. We bought a 2019 Toyota *********************************************** in Calgary. On December 06, 2023 we requested that *********************************** fix our drivers side mirror. However, they ordered the wrong part and I have been waiting for them to install the correct part since Dec 27th 2023. It is now September 2024. When they ordered the part on December 27th the paper quote said there was a mirror available in ******* that was 1 week away. However, I still havent received this side mirror because they say there are none available. In the spring, I spoke with another dealership and they confirmed that this part is on backorder. I was also informed at some point in the spring that there were 8 currently being made. Toyota Canada confirmed in April that they had received the order for my part from the dealership and that the Toyota dealership had been in communication with them.However, when I called the parts department on September 9th, they said they didn't have a record of the fact that I had ordered the part even though I was communicating with them on a monthly basis up until at least April. They eventually found the record of the original order that I had placed back in December.I also contacted Toyota Canada on September 10th to inquire about when our part would be available and they couldnt give me an estimated time of arrival.I think it is unethical that Toyota Canada is not standing by their vehicles and will not replace important parts on vehicles in less than 5 years from the manufacturing year of the vehicle even though they continue to produce and sell new vehicles.
